Will a 92-96 jdm h22 obd1 swap into my 1999? It has an aftermarket ecu ect. I don't see why it wouldn't?

I emailed the guys at totaljdm.com to find out...

Hi i need a replacement engine fro my 1999 supercharged prelude. Will this engine work? http://www.torontojdm.com/lite/cart...category_id=101 also how many km does it have on it? thanks,

Chris

this is what they said

lol, the guys obviously a moron, yes it will work since i think you converted to obd1 already right? tuned on uberdata? it woulld be easier for you to find a h22a4. just to make sure, but i believe a h22a1 will have no problems fitting. send him a email back saying its aftermarket supercharged lol, and see where that goes. i would go to jdm source in calgary though for the engine.

Nis13
ya thats what i thought too... I seen a few good places for engines but with these two other guys and hmotors and jdmsource is about a 2000 difference

i can vouch for the engine. was in good shape when i saw it running last. been sitting for awhile though

just a heads up though. some sensors are going to be in different spots, and what not. not a big deal, but the electrical parts might need some modding.

lol thats funny..yes any H22 you put in will work. and yes you are converted to OBD1.i even contemplated swapping in an H22A type S but didnt like the idea of running a supercharger on an engine with such high compression.

Nis13
any engine hey... interesting i think im going to go with one of those 1000 dollar engines... what could be the worst possibly outcome...

The engine could be seized, it could burn tons of oil, could be royally fucked. Theres a few bad situations. Head gasket, bad tranny ect

Nis13
decided to piece together a rebuild during winter my motors just about had enough so this is the only option:thumbup:

Prudz_lude
what happened to your engine?

Nis13
just about had enough... time to put the old to rest. ha
