you can go to napa they sell it under the name of penzoil syncromesh, the dealers sell it under ac-delco syncromesh. anyway you can go anywhere and find it, its sold under at least 4 names that i know.

They do, but it isn't cheap. I got mine at the North Side GM on 97St. A bit of a drive but all the other dealerships didn't even know what it is.

I don't think the penzoil is the same stuff. I have read that the Penzoil version doesn't hold up quite as well. I just played it safe and went with GM. It worked wonders (that is if it doesn't shorten the life of my syncros).

Also, you probably want the Gm Syncromesh FM (Friction Modified).

Amsoil Also has a Synchromesh tranny fluid. Good for Gm part numbers #12345349, #12345577, #12377916, & #1052931

Also good for GM spec #9985648 & #9985535

Amsoil syncromesh works wonders from what I have heard from owners of the new Civic si's. If you've ever seen the tranny fluid they put in those cars it has the viscosity of wd-40. Many people where having problems with gear engagement and rough shifting. Heard about amsoil's syncromesh, replaced the wd-40 crap and their si's now shift like butter.

I get mine at the gm dealership on 34ave, 91 st
