I first saw this on Mercedes website and quickly fell in love with the aggressive design. A much improved exterior over the previous C300/C350.
I went down to Mercedes and took a closer look at it and surprisingly it looks even better in person than on the website. I find it Super aggressive looking....a nice touch for a entry level Benz.
The only thing I was kind of disappointed in, was the power. The C350 Sport comes with a V6 3.5 L that puts out 286 HP and 256 Ft/lbs of Tq. That usually would be pretty good, but this car is pretty heavy.
With a starting price in the upper 40's (and the less powerful C300 starting at 41k) its a pretty decent car.
Supposedly Mercedes is bringing out a All New C-Class AMG model with a 6.2L V8 putting out 500HP.
Once that comes here...I'll be taking a closer look for sure!

my uncle in europe just bought a all new C220 diesel .. i was lucky enough to drive it around when i was there this summer
nice car, looks wayyy better than the old one ! just to bad we dont get the diesel benzs they are awesome on the autobahn ! |

| I think it is a huge improvement over the old ones. Looks like a mini S Class. The C300 base price of 41k actually includes quite a bit and is a good deal compared to the 328 or the is250. I would definitely consider one. But for the higher C350, I think I would go with the 335i just for the engine. |

I think it looks pretty hot. A huge improvement over the last design. But I agree the AMG will be a monster. All AMG cars pretty much shit on all of their competitors. No one can touch Mercedes when it comes to performance sedans.

Well I just got back from Mercedes on Calgary Trail and I test drove the C300 4Matic (No C350 Available yet for test drive)
The exterior is amazing imo and the interior is simple, yet well put together.
This was the 228 HP Model, so I did expect it to be a bit sluggish compared to what the 268HP C350 would be.
Overall I thought it was a pretty nice ride. It is not as "sporty" of a ride as what the 335i would be though...but in my opinion way more luxurious.
Once everything was all tallied up, the model I would want with all the options, etc came out to $58,000. Not exactly cheap, considering my roomate just bought the all new G35 S Sedan with NAV, etc (306HP) and it came to just under 53k taxes in.
Obviously you pay for the Mercedes name and quality, but I'm not sure if I can justify the fully loaded C350's price tag compared to the competition.
Regardless, this is a nice car and is my favorite looking car for its class by far! Can't wait until the new AMG C-Class comes out early next spring!

I beg to differ, I personally think the M5 is the ultimate Sedan

Can't wait for the C63 AMG...only down side, is that its supposedly going to cost between $75k-$80k. Well worth it for a rumored 500HP Luxury Sedan...but out of my price range :(

I wonder what kind of allotment we'll be getting for the C63 AMG. I talked to one of the guys at Weber and theres already about 8 people with money down for them.
Sat in the C350 Sedan and it was nice.... but a bit cozy. haha.
If only the C350 had a bit more power damnit! |
