so a good friend of mine asked me out the other day, and the thing is i am attracted to her BUT i just got out of a relationship with someone and and am kinda attracted to another person whom im also friends with and is also friends with the girl who asked me out.
now i was thinking i would just tell her that i am not looking for a relationship right now and just wanna stay friends but then if i asked the other chic i do want to go out with, on date, the chic who asked me might take it the wrong way.
so my problem is how would i go about doing this without breaking her feelings (i still wanna be friends with her but i dont want it to be awkward whenever we hang out)
any help would be much appreciated |

| i would have to agree with doing them both. either way you are gonna lose this one.. mid as well go down nailing both of them. there are lots of girls out there that can be your friend.. lol why is it that when your single there are always 2-3 girls that are interested in you or vise versa. never just the one girl to make life easy.. haha good luck buddy. i've been in your boat more times then i can count. pretty much happens to me at the end of every relationship. |

thats because when you are in a relationship more girls are attracted to you. Talked to many girls about this and most of them said its an effed up reasoning. I don't really know what word would describe it best but what they have all told me is that when your in a relationship they want to replace your girlfriend just so they know that you would choose them over your actual girlfriend. Kind of crazy but interesting.
I agree with the above, double team them or at least nail the one girl and move on to the girl you want to date. either way, the girl who asked you is not going to be your friend still after you ask her friend to date you after you have shut her down, most likely. |

you're fucked either way. If you tell chick a you don't want a relationship right now, then go after her friend, you're a liar and an asshole. If you're honest with chick a, and tell her you are not intrested in her like that, then you're a jerk, but if you guys are good enough friends she will get over it. Now, if you go after her friend shortly after telling her that, you're an asshole.
Best thing to do in this situation is don't go for either. If you really like chick b, then talk to chick a, tell her the truth, than wait for a while before going after the other girl.
You said you just got out of a relationship; so why not take some time, be single for a while then see what you want. |

Either that or it's a "Conquest" mentality.

Why don't you ask chick B first if she would like to go out, if she says yes then you can tell chick A that you actually are already seeing someone else. If this is the case then everything works out the way you want it to.
If she says no then you can atleast bang chick A and carry on with life.
Simple as that and you won't look like such a huge ass to either of them then... unless chick chick B finds out you screwed her friend right after asking her out. Just play it carefully. |

I think i am going to try this, but like seevik said there will be a little problem because yes they are pretty close friends.

believe me i did contemplate doing them both but i looked at it for the long term purposes and there arose some problems besides it wouldn't last long they are pretty good friends and all my other chick friends would be like wtf and i would never get any with them either

Find out more about them both then dump the one (or Both) if they are not to your liking. :D
