what kind of laptop, i can fix most laptops, the only ones i cant are those tiny sony vaios. a screen will be in the area of 600 dollers, most times its cheaper just to buy a new computer.

gtaylor
its a LG i believe

everything is fine, its just thers a crack in the screen
so 3/4 of it works, and ttheres 1/4 thats totally fucked.

its not a cheap computer, so i dont think its gonna be cheapest to buy a new one.
i hope not at least

maybe then, buy a chassis of the same computer off ebay... that's about the most likely way to fix a laptop that's not on warranty. there's lots of them modern, and older too. I kind of wish used car parts were so easy to get ;)

with laptops is very tricky, you would have to pull your current screen and match the part numbers to the screen you want to buy, its super common for the mfg to have 3 different screens for one model. so to make sure that your new screen is compatable with the video connector on the system board and the inverter thats in your computer now you have to match the part numbers.

and yes with an LG its worth it to get a new screen.

if you pm me the model number and serial number on the back of your laptop i can do some checking around for you.
