did a high temp powder coat on Russ's manifold. Seems to be standing up pretty good.(pic was at AFI on the dyno, so this thing had seen some heat.

no flaky, flaky

flatboy
vortech valve covers and the red one is for a 350

elrhyso
your hoist kicks ass! fuck i'm jealous, that must make things a million times easier!

newaccorddriver
so you got a powder coating machine at home?

out of curiosity, where did you get that lift from, and how much did it cost?

d.maczko

I'm working on my second oven for coating. the first was pretty small like 3' x 1' x 1' and the bigger one is 6' x 3' x 2' so I can do rims and bigger goodies.

The lift I fabricated on my own and havn't got a price figured out but all Hydraulics are from Princess auto so anybody can get em.

I'm not a sponsor on the board so if I give you a price I'll get my balls chopped I'm sure.

I might consider paying my sponsor dues for 2008 depending on the cost, and the outcome I can produce. I have a web site but it ain't up and running till next week sometime.

i dont know if id trust just two bolts to support that load. seems a little thin

NightmareMX6
Very cool. I'm sure if you pm people the price and other stuff you would be ok.

newred
Ya, the lift don't look like the safes. What kind of safety back up do you have?

2HIGH~PSI
he jacks it up and :fingersx: haha
jk dude, but yeah, it does look kinda sketchy, but obviously holds cars up :blue:

flatboy
all pins are 4140
center bolt is 1 1/4" dia gr9
all welds LA t-91

that thing will make DIY clutch changes easy. beats me bringing my car to a tranny shop to get it done.

2HIGH~PSI
well anything, even something as simple as oil changes, or summer/winter wheel swaps

Kinda off topic, but where is the manifold on the Honda engine from?

my home made stuff is only home cause thats where I do most of it, but no lack of quality here:thumbup:

plus Newaccorddrive you've seen where I work, I pretty much have use of everything that related to fabrication.
Building drilling/service rigs are boring:(

I could easly put another sliding mechanical lock on the open side of the lift, but diddn't seem nessecary. Though if it made people buy them I'd do it.

The other lifts on the market are very similar, I diddn't invent this.
I saw one first hand last year at the GoodGuys show in Spokane and got some info from the guy then threw it on the Solidworks.

Friggin' awesome thread!

flatboy
here's a couple goodies for AFI - done in a low gloss black

glass beaded

flatboy
here is a couple more pics of the lift on the ground in the flat position. The grip strut on the sides are ramps, cause my driveway is at a pretty good angle and my truck rubs a bit. total height to the top is about 4 1/2"(top of the bolts) but I think I'm goina change them and do a counter sink or something.

ok, right. I'm a little confused. I'm not selling anything and the web site ain't up yet until I decide what to do on 780 here. Is this a reminder or a warning?

Just being helpful and helping you play with in the rules. :D

So if a member decides to pm you about pricing to build a lift, they are more than welcome to. ;) You just can not put the pricing in a thread or mention that you are building them for sale directly.
