Well, I had a friend photochop the paint I'm going with and my new wheels on my new project car.. Just to get a general idea of how it will look when it's done.
Before:

After:

Not the greatest photochop, but I like it. |

Meh, I'm not big on chromies either.. but they were CHEAP and they are new..
and yeah I like the bright ass colours, little car needs to be bright in this city just to avoid being swallowed up by all the bigass trucks out there.
Once the paint is on there I don't think it will be that bright.
here is the colour chip of the paint:

It's somewhat bright but it's not a candy.. so it won't be like electric bright LOL.
Oh and the wheels are 06 chevy Cobalt LT wheels. They just look weird due to the photochop.

There use to be this black and dark copper EF rolling around and it looked good.
Black hood and roof maybe hatch or part of and the rest that color you got there?
BTW i miss seeing that old civic you got rolling around it always stood out good, best model ever for a really big stereo. |

Cheap on parts.
Easy for ME to work on.
Light.
Decent handling with minimal mods. Torsion Bars Forever!!
Lots of room for stuff with no backseat.
Parts fall from heaven for these cars.
Can wreck one and just go out and get another for cheap, my latest rust free one I got for free!!! Needs tires and a brake booster..
My Dad a 1G Civic with a 5.0L swap when I was just a little girl, I think I was six or seven. Anyway, his car could peel the skin back on your face and plant you firmly in the seat on acceleration.. Had to sit in the back seats to ride around in that car.. it had no front seats! I loved that car!!
He had a twin turbo V8 240Z before that....
But I guess I just fell in love with the old Honda's... If I could find a 1G in good shape I would snap it right up and do something crazy with it, mid-engine turbo V6 or H22 swap... But the old 1Gee's are really hard to find and parts are really rare for them... So I stick with the 3G.
I can't wait!
I can't wait for all the ricers to try and race me, that's always fun..
*NEWS FLASH*
It's only a 1.3L... don't bother revving at me in traffic or anything, you'll just look dumb....
When the 1.5L goes back in before summer I'll take it to the track and get some numbers.. It won't be mind blowing or anything, but it should be a bit more peppy...
Future mods include:
1.5L with: 158K on it (just broken in :D )
Stage 2 cam regrind (Colt Cams)
PnP + flow bench testing, of course, new valves, guides and Si springs.
custom intake manifold, port matched, knife edged intake runners (for mating to bike carbs)
crb900rr bike carbs.
custom exhaust manifold, port matched of course.
2.75" or 3" stainless mandrel bent exhaust (thanks to Pipe Trades), Size dependant on flow bench testing and suggestions.
Either a sports bike muffler or a Magnaflow, NO FART CANNONS!!
I'm going to lighten my brand new flywheel to maybe 12lbs.. and I'm going to reuse my Centerforce stage 2 clutch.. it's only got 2500klms on it..
I have some thinking to do about suspension.. I know I'll be ordering a set of new 27mm torsions from upgrademotoring.com.. but as far as rear suspension I'm at a loss, progressive rate coil-overs?
I'll be looking for a rear disk swap on the cheap in the spring if anyone is interested in selling... Must be cheap though..
I'll also be looking for the teg front disk/caliper swap too.
and I need a set of summer tires cheap for those wheels as well..
Basically, I'm saving like a mad woman over the winter to get my car ready the way I want it by next summer.
Sorry for rambling.. I need to drink less coffee maybe... :dunno: |

Copper penny is an interesting color for the paint. The second pic looks better. It will be a nice ride when it is done! :D
