Here are some the the details that were discussed at the last car club administration meeting:
General
- Each club receives a free 10'x10' vendor booth space (indoors). We have the option of a draped booth (3' side wall and 8' back drop) or an open space. This size may very depending on how many cars are registered in the event. The more cars, the bigger space (I'll get to the cars soon).
- Vehicle registration costs $40/car, but if we enter as a team, the registration is $35/car.
- Roll-in will be from 8:00am to 12:00 noon on the Saturday.
- Tear-down & clean-up will be after midnight.
- 4 admission tickets will be provided. That means I'll need 3 volunteers to help out during the day.
- A skirted table and (2) chairs can be provided.
- NO tents allowed indoors.
- Electrical power can be provided at a cost of $50-$60.
Car Show Criteria
- To have your car registered in this event or even used as a display car, your vehicle must have atleast 3 of the 5 following items. Custom Exterior (custom paint, bodykit, cf hood, decals), Custom Interior, Exterior Mod's (wheels, tires, brakes, suspension), Car Audio (stereo, multi-media), Engine (swap, bolt-on mod's, dress-up), Hidden (exotic, jdm).
- We are only looking for show quality cars to represent the club.
- Cars that are indoors and are registered in the show can't enter the dyno contest, unless you want to park outdoors.
- Cars must have a lockable gas cap or roll-in the event with less than 1/4 tank of gas.
-
Display
- We will be joining forces with the Civic Evolution car club again for this event
- We are hoping to enter as a team, so the more cars that register the better.
- We will be having some multi-media display (curtousy of CivicEvo), prize draws, and the usual stuff such as the banner, business cards, flyers, and mailing list.
- Display for the vehicles will either be a theme or each owner will be repsonsible for his/her own car. This is where we could use some ideas such as stantions, rope, carpet, lighting, and possibly a theme idea (props).
- Each car is alotted a 10'x15' space.
- Models would be a nice added touch if anyone knows some that would be interested in doing this event (for chairity).
So, that's about it for now. I really could use some help with brain storming ideas for the club display (theme, set-up, promotional tools, give-a-ways). In addition, I need to know how many people have a show worthy car that are truely interested in registering in this event. Please contact me via pm!
There will be another meeting with the Civic Evolution team soon. All show registrants & volunteers will be required to attend. |
