Not to work for, but to use one of their "investment plans?"

It's a front for Aegon to sell universal life insurance under the guise of "financial planning". Universal life insurance very rarely is a good product.

A guy I used to work with had a daughter who got caught up in it a few years ago & I was invited to one of their meetings. Their plans didn't make any sense & I would excercise extreme caution with anything they say.

This is correct!!! My moms friend owns the place and we really didn't know to much abou them and they 'offered' me a job, all I had to do was come to a meeting. We found out from other friends in the financial sector what they really were, and lets just say we dont talk to these people anymore. My mom was pissed they tried to reel me into a pyramid scheme. STAY AWAY!!!

I would stay away from them. They make their money by recruiting other people.

Chances are you will be paying alot more for their services than you should.

Depending on your assets you have for investments there are other options available for you. You could look at talking with your banker, or if the asset size is large enough an Investment Advisor.

Like was posted previously, depending on the size of your investment, talking with an investment advisor would be good. Personally, I use Edward Jones, but there are a few different ones out there.

The problem with most financial advisors out there is that if you're not paying them directly, they're probably trying to sell you products to get a commision. The products they sell might not necessarily be bad, but you're likely to get a biased opinion.

I've learned the person who cares most about your finances is you. If you have an interest it's always best to educate yourself. I've really only met one financial advisor that I found helpful. Not suprisingly he was not on commision & was on a fixed term contract as an independent consultant for several companies with high value clients.
