You will love the Garret ballist ball bearing. I have a T-76 with the garret dual ball bearing center section. The spool is crazy and the neatest part is when you pull into the garage and turn it off. The turbo will keep spinning for 2-3 minutes.

That's not really a neat thing, that's a possibly disastrous thing. Make sure you have a turbo timer, otherwise the turbo is getting no oil during that long spool down and it will cook itself.
I've witnessed many semi drivers cook their turbo's by revving their engines right before they shut them off and head in somewhere for lunch. You get that turbo spinning a few hundred thousand rpm and cut off it's oil, you're just asking for trouble.

I dunno?! IT's a ball bearing turbo so it will naturally just spin from inertia... I'm sure the designers thought of that and it prob. won't get wrecked...

It isn't dangerous really, it just takes a minute for the turbo to spin down with the ball bearing center cartridge. Of course the engine should be allowed to idle for a minute or two after "spirited" driving to allow oil to circulate through the turbo as well as water if so equipped.

I have had turbos seize from having a exhaust hose hooked up to them. the vacuume spools the turbo, slowly and runs it dry. we put an accumalater in between the oil inlet and the turbo to help with shut down. when the oil pressure falls the accu. supplies oil under pressure for about a min or two. it also helps on dry starts.
