John Woo's Stranglehold - Click HERE for Original Thread

Cyanide Ride
The good: So far, I am really enjoying this game. The music, the detail, the sound effects, even the main menu has a really cool theme, and the cut scenes are a plenty, the action is pure mayhem at it's best. Trying to figure out the way to get the most "style points" each level is quite challenging.

The Bad: 12 GB install, steep computer requirements, load time is lengthy (but sometimes it loads quick?), can't really be called a game, almost like a movie you can control.

I am a fan of John Woo films so I am a fan of the game (about 3 hours in)

It's worth noting that if you enjoyed the Max Payne games of old, this could be considered the "New Max Payne" game with bullet time, etc.

I think it's worth checking out.

Edit: Precision shot fucking owns.

12 GB!?!

I am very interested in this game, but they couldn't have optimized it better? Even my FSX install with a ton of addons isn't 12 GB. I'm thinking that it might be a definite 360 purchase now.

Its a fun game but its short. And after the first hour its the same animations and tasks just in different locations.

Just picked it up last night for Xbox but didnt get a chance to try it. I loved the Max Payne games and Hard Boiled is one of my all time favorite movies so I have no doubt that Ill enjoy it.

Cyanide Ride
There is soooo much shooting and mayhem in the game I'm actually enjoying it abit.

The 3rd person view camera gets annoying in some of the tight quarters of the later levels.

I've heard it is quite short though, so each time I make a mistake, I start from the begining of the level to try and drag it out more.

Im about half way through right now and am loving it, precision aim has yet to get old, I can t seem to get enough of it. Little glitchy on some things but more than enough good to overlook it

Cyanide Ride
I have finished it, it does seem abit short, but it is quite challenging.

So far the only bug I've noticed on PC is when you're on Tequila time running along a railing or something, you cannot change directions very easily.
