Guys,
Do you know anyone who really specializes in MR2? I'm not into modding my engine....just to keep it reliable as possible...
I went to a shop today to take a look at my 2 to find THE MYSTERY LEAK....
Since I got no tools & limited know how...I decided to let somebody else do it....rather than messing her up.
And since Im going that path....I also decided to have the timing belt, water pump, seals replaced (if the leak comes from there)...would you think $500 is reasonable enough?
Or I rather do it myself (just have to find tools for rent & place for rent...)
Or if a kind soul would help me out here, I would be gladly appreciate it.
I also plan to replace upgrade my suspensions later...I need some advice guys...thanks! |

$500 is a prety good price for the stuff you metioned..
as you may think a mr2 isnt the easiest car to work with and unless you have your own portable lift most work has to be done underneath the car(timing belt, etc).. |

Thanks for the response REDX2NV :)
Well....the total bill comes to about $340++ only 'coz the shop said it doesn't need to replace the water pump since its quite new. :D
These were the work done to my 2: Timing belt, cam seal, crank seal, dist-o-ring, valve cover gasket + labor....
At least they're honest about it & also gave 90 warranty for the work...hope it solves my mystery leak.... B)
Anyway, Im going to observe it in a matter of days.... |

| Autotech on the south side (72 St on 76 Ave) seems to be pretty good. They've done good work at a fair price for me on several Toyotas I've owned over the years. Anybody else have good or bad comments about these guys? |

| I agree with rexxrally that autotech is pretty good. I usually take my car to the one on the west side if I have to do something that I can't tackle. |

I'll try to check AUTOTECH sometime....
Anyway, the shop I brought my 2 is HARDER AUTOMOTIVE....Anyone heard of them? |
