I am going on EI for the first time in 5 weeks because Im getting laid off for the winter.. I assume you have to apply for jobs while your on EI and keep updates..?
Do you just keep on record who you apply to for a job or do they have to fill out a form? How many do you have to do each week or month?
Could someone shed some insight.. |

Shouldn't be hard to find another job anyways...just go get another one.
I know weatherford ampscott will hire you no problem. There 2 best employees left (me and day shift guy I know...maybe I am giving myself a little too much credit lol) and they are super desperate. |

They wont hound you at all be for when i did road constuction i would go on it for the winter. jsut made my weekly phone calls to the robot lady and that was it .
BUT some thing on consider is EI doesn't take enough tax off . and you will probly owe in taxes when you file . |

| your going on EI... I now fully understand your last thread from a few days ago. Imo it seems those kids deserved the company truck. If you can work and are physically able then why don't you. Taking winter off just seems lazy and is the opposite of what EI is suppose to be for. |

| my fiance applied for e.i a week before a pre-employment welding program which lasted 3 months. E.I rolled in 2 weeks after graduation. You will eventually get the money, but you have to wait a riduculous amount of time for it. |

Rad, you'd be happy to know that your taxes have been paying my lazy ass for the past 2.5 weeks of work due to engineering/locate fuck ups. All i've done is go to work, start up the track-ho, sit and listen to music. You can come visit me on 111st and saddle back road:D |

| I was actually referring to the dayshift guy lol. I worked really hard, but I could never keep up with him....he had double the production out of anyone in that position ever. |

Its different if you are doing a trade in school and you are on EI for 6-8 weeks. This guy want to stay on EI all winter; thats up to 7 months in Edmonton.
