Was gonna buy it from America but i dont think Mercedes-Benz here will honor the warranty plus i would of had to change the speedometer to km's. I know i would loose about $13,000 it is $44,425 in America currency convert it and it is $43,843 i know $13,000 is a lot of money but rather be on the safe side and then i don't have to struggle hear and there with the borders and dealers. The price here in Canada and is about $58,000 I would have to order one because they keep option ones in the showroom. I just wanted the basic model all i want is to ride in a mercedes benz suv. I was in decision making the ml350 vs x3 i thought the x3 was a little small and not worth that money they were asking about $52,000 to $60,000 I'm hopping to get this in a couple of months or so. I was looking into a few suv's like the Nissan Murrano, Bmw X3, Acura Mdx, Acura Rdx i had thought that the 4runner, pathfinder, pilot were to big and i didn't want a 7 passenger suv.

Here Are Some Pictures enjoy!:)

As hard as it is to understand your grammar........

Buy it in the states.... the 13grand you save will cover anything that goes wrong with it, IF anything does. Warranty's are overated.

If 1 dealership doesnt do warranty work for it, bring it to another...

whats wrong with my grammar and i taught that all dealerships won't honor the warranty? because i herd there going to make a law that Canadians can't buy cars from the states so dealers here won't have to honor the warranty also even if they could they don't have too.:)

Prudz_lude
haha trust me save the 13 grand, your car will be fine. If you take car of it those cars last for freaking ever.

Seen as how you asked:

First word: whats

First letter should be capitalized as it's the beginning of a sentence. Needs an apostrophe in between the t and s because it is a contraction (what is)

Next word: i

Needs to be capitalized as well, in two cases

Next word: taught

I think you mean thought, although taught is a word but it doesn't apply here.

Next word: because

Shouldn't be in this sentence, makes it extraneous.

Next word: herd

Should be heard

Next word: there

Should be they're

Okay, bored now but you get the idea.

It will cost a few bucks to get warranty in Canada:

Car must be modified to meet Canadian specs by a Mercedes-Benz Canada dealer and certified that standards are met. Mercedes-Benz Canada then issues a Letter of Compliance, and the same 4 year/80,000 km warranty as Canadian market cars. There is no corrosion warranty and no extended warranty is available.

jberger
i test drove that at webers motors , it was nice but you are paying just for the name , my murano has more options , but like you said you want to drive a benz

Good choice go with the diesel

newaccorddriver
im not sure about mercedes, but BMW honors their warranty throughout all of north america, im assuming mercedes has something similar to that, and 13k is a large chunk of change that would cover a new motor if you needed one

I should probably go down to weber motors and ask them but they will probably say some bs also not even the warranty problem i need to check if i can change the speedometer and how much would it cost me. It would not be like a daily driver like work it would have like 10,000 or less km's a year

ya i was looking at the murano it's a beauty but they have had that design since 2003 so they probably come out with a new one this year and next year. They cost $50,000 tho in my opinion i would pay $8,000 more and buy the benz also for the name to

why buy only the name? i bought the 3 series cause it was a great car, not cause of the 3 letters on the front. if you really wanted the name, why not buy a sportage and stick mercedes badges all over it?

Phone down to a dealership in the states they won't give you the run around.

Rabb
have fun trying to get that Benz over the border ..

One of the hardest, next to imposible cars to get into Canada. Gotta thank Mercedes Benz Canada for being the biggest tight asses for that one!

Recheck your spelling after you've typed something.

We're not picking on you.
We just want to be able to read and understand what you are saying

Don't use lingo, use English.

Thank-you

I looked at all the high end SUV's over the last couple months.

They were either too small, too much, or had shit reviews.

I ended up finding myself very happy with a Volvo XC90. Optioned right out and ended up paying less than mercedez, porsche, and bmw but got way more value, safety and peice of mind.

replay
ya but keep in mind im probably only going to put 10,000 km to 15,000km a year or maybe even less plus i would of had to change the speedometer to km instead of mph

Mercedes Benz And Bmw are like high quality and there engines will last for long. American cars loose there value its not even worth buying an american car. There were only a few japenese suvs i liked but with fully loaded leather, sunroof, etc they come to the same price so why not just get the high quality stuff. All
suvs start at basically $45,000 to $60,000 with all your goodies.

Invalid Zero
Do a little more research into how high quality the last ML's were.

BLK_LBL
you KEEP ON saying you "have to change the speedo" ITS NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL BUDDY! it would take a week max to learn all the conversion points.

conversion

maybe print this list and tape it to your steering wheel.

my BMW visited the dealership 7 times for warranty service over the course of 12 months, you sure about the quality? friends slk230 was the same thing except to a lesser extent.

the engines only last as long as the owners take good care of their cars. id take the jap stuff any day over the german stuff cause asides from repair costs, their far more reliable in the long run

Adam
The Volvo XC90 comes with both kph and mph. The biggest thing I've seen wrong with them is a leaking sunroof seal. The 05 and 06's had trans issues but were fixed up for 07 and 08. Go down and test one out, I've been in all of them and this one wins hands down, IMO.

replay
Im not the only driver for the car for ladies it's hard to drive in mph well just in my case. What i meant by high quality like lexus, bmw, mercedes benz, volvo, infiiti, etc high end expensive type. Its like kia vs Porsche didn't buy the suv yet so i could still change my mind no worry. Well after that
newaccorddriver said his bmw had been in the garage 7 in a year i might be reconsidering something else. I'm not like hating peoples opnions but Mercedes benz and bmw are just my taste. Would u like to drive a Chevrolet cavalier or a Lamborghini

surprisingly the motor/tranny itself was running perfectly fine, it was everything else that broken down. radio, rear windshield antenna, washer pump, front axle, leaking CV boot, door lock acuators, wheel bearing, wiper motor, worn down bushings and oil pressure sensor. i guess out of all the cars they put out, i could have made lemonade with mine.

and for those that are wondering, i did all the services that they recommended and spent maybe $1500 on oil changes and inspections for the year i had it. they caught a few of those things while it was getting inspected.

arabian_ryda
lool u know thats exactly the kinda shit that went in my car too. bmw engine and drive trains are bullet proof its there options that are fucked and easily break.

EDIT......

my door lock acuators are 70 a side plus 2 hours labour a side
my power window frame was 140 bucks
etc etc

i guess the main difference is that my car had warranty on it still:rolleyes:

the owner of EC automotive told me that he had an older mercedes at one point in time, and he said the thing with all german cars is that they nickel and dime you to death. kinda true when you think about it

arabian_ryda
thats sooo true. i put over 1000+ in repairs the first month i got my e30. the funny thing is the bill at any certain time never exceded 200 bucks. but it was at the shop every second week. new car for me next year no more of this shit. warranty is the greastest thing since sliced bread.

Hope you know that most people (especially stereotypical german car snobs) consider ML as "low class." Wth the exception of the ML63 based soley on the engine, of course. They are notorious for having bad reliability and quality issues. Plus they don't share the MB lineage because they are made in Alabama instead of Germany.

~30oZ~
Nice choice! Seems like a great SUV, What do you do for a living if you don't mind me asking, or are your parents buying it for them selves and you'll be just driving around in they're ride? If you can afford the benz I guess the price difference isn't that big of a deal for some. Or if mom and dad are buying it then no sweat off your back but either way enjoy the new ride!:)

GQsmooth
Nice choice for an SUV, they look great:thumbup:

the fx starts at 50,000... the murano can be had for less.... Around 40,000 for a nicely equipped. Look at the fx. My dad looked at the xc90, x5, cayenne s, taoureg, mdx, and a few domestics.. When he first saw the infiniti he didnt like it that much.. but after dricing the competition he loved it.. Look for an fx! lol.

i taught u had to go with the best model to get leather
