So My MR2 just landed and I have an inspection scheduled for Thursday. My friend and I were trying to wire the DRL and couldn't figure it out. Does anyone know anything in the front fuse box that is hot only when the engine is on? Or does someone have a solution for the DRLs (that may or may not be easily reversible)?

you have to splice into your lighter or deck because your deck lighter is connected to an accersory wire so it only comes on when your car is on. hope this helps gl on the inspection

I don't know about the Mk2, but on my RX7, I just added a relay that would override the switch on the dash. It was all hidden away in there. The trigger ran off the ACC line, and the relay itself was just set up in parallel with the headlight switch. Keeps the stock functionality, but still gave me DRLs.

My friend whom is a mechanic helped me out. Problem solved.
