The Edmonton Rally Club is hosting Rallycross #8 this Sunday, Oct 28th at our Devon event location. Entry fee is $30 for ASN Canada affiliated club members, or $40 otherwise. This will get you between 4 and 8 runs. Almost every event this year has had 8 runs.
Following the event is the ever popular Eliminator event, with heats of 2 cars running head-to-head, halfway around the track from each other.
Trophies to the winners and door prizes for lots of people.
Since autocross season is over, and ice racing season has yet to begin, this is a great way to spend your Sunday afternoon rather than watching TV (even the Formula 1 season is over, so you can't even watch THAT!) Get ready for winter driving season, by sliding around in a field, and have a lot of fun doing it.
To get there, head south out of Edmonton on Highway 2 to the Devon/Nisku turnoff (Highway 19). Head west on Highway 19 to the stop sign at Devon (Highway 60). Turn south (left) and go 2.2km to a well access road and turn left. 150 metres up this road, turn right into the pasture. You will see people and (maybe) signs. This pasture is flat and hard with no gravel on the racing surface.
Any car that can pass a basic safety inspection can enter (good brakes, good suspension, battery tied down, good seat belts, no loose or flapping bodywork). Competitors must have Snell 95, 2000 or 2005 helmets (we have some to lend if you don't have one). |
