Hey guys.I traded my KLZE probe for that 300zx in the modified section. The car im pickin up needs some work.i could use a set of rims with wheels, and someone with a parts car.Its a USDM 2+2 with a shitty interior so i need peices and stuff. Also a front right wheel hub.

I'm really excited to get this project going, i've ALWAYS wanted a 300.This is also my first RWD car, drifting FTW.FR>FF aswell.Lol.

My plans for this car include it being stored and worked on over the winter.I want to do LOTS of maintence stuff to it, making it a better running car.Anyone know where a guy could store a car?

I'm a car enthusiast.I want to be able to read up on how these cars work, are repaired, and basically find a forums much like 780(group of guys that love cars) exept for only nissans, or better yet 300's.I come from probetalk.com , and those forums were awsome, i did almost ALL my own work to my car, and i did it right.I have tons of knowledge about probes, and now i gotta replace it all with knowledge for a 300, where can i do this?

Lookin forward to being a Z club member!

Welcome!!

Your first stop:
www.twinturbo.net

^^^ Your definitive Z32 site. It has everything you will ever need. Make abundant use of the TECH and FAQ sections.

The next Edmonton Z Car Club meeting is coming up next thursday (Nov 1st). We will be at a new location, the downtown Dairy Queen on 101st. (I'll be posting an announcement about it soon).

Welcome
I see that Inzane beat me to most of it.
Not really the best drift car though, pretty heavy and can be very pricey to replace broken things.

I have found (very recently) that www.300zxclub.com is a really good site. I found Twinturbo.net to be hard to navigate, search and find "results". Lots of expertise, lots of questions, lots of suggestions...... but not many "this is exactly what my issue was and this is how I fixed it" responses.

GL with your new car..... you and I are in the same boat. The 300 (since April of this year) is my first "performance" RWD. I found out quickly that it isn't a car you can own on a tight budget. ;)

..... now change that sig......

You may want to retract that statement before the rest of the crew sees that. With what you just said, you have just ensured a lifetime of ribbing and fun-poking from your Z club peers.

3ZC is an absolute joke compared to tt.net.

PS - people just need to GET OVER the fact that tt.net isn't done up in the common vBulletin format and they'll be just fine.

Damnit Inzane you are too quick
Agreed though, while the guys on tt.net can be assholes ubt they know their shit concerning the facts of the car. Ive never had a problem finding an answer on there, search, read through a few posts and sure enough the answer is there.
They are purists though, to the bone and will flame anyone who commits blasphemy against the Z, in their eyes anyway.

Awsome guys, im ALL over this.Car comes with brand new rear struts, thatll help to keep the rear wheels on the road.I hope to be able to make the meeting on thursday, im waiting on a right wheel hub coming from winnipeg, i couldnt find one on ebay or anything.

I'm working full time so i dont care about money, dumping money into a car i love is why i go to work really. that and pay bills.

Forum members "superspeed" and "300zx.babe" here on 780 have or had parts cars they were parting out. You may want to try contacting them to see if you can get a used wheel hub/spindle. Just an option, if you didn't want to buy new.

ZEguy
Me and superspeed are in contact, and will be doing business.i will hit up 300zxbabe right now see what shes got.

Just got the car towed to my house.
Lol.
Shes a fixer-upper no doubt.Though there are sexy items on ebay aswell im ordering, interior panels and such.Im going to take before and after pics and make it my goal to turn this car COMPLETELY around.

aarrgghh
Welcome to the club. Can't comment on the 300ZX maintenance (other than they look great), but you've probably found the right place. Best of luck with your plans. See you at the meeting.

2nd,

A service manual is a great tool too, a lot of people dont want to spend the money on one, but their really isn't any better tool for working on these cars.

G'luck with the Z.

Careful on some of that ebay stuff, the quality can be kinda low, just depends on what you want as a final product. There are some companies that make some really nice quality interior stuff that fits great but youll prob pay alittle more than ebay

lol...... I have used TT.net quite a bit now and don't deny it is a great source of information, but I found 3zc.com last night. I was searching 1 problem on it and found lots of info that wasn't easily found (or not at all) on tt.net. Given, there are probably more immature people there compared to TT.net and TT has more expertise per capita, I found that for someone who is NEW to the Z might find that it is more user friendly. From what I saw in the hour I was on it, I found it informative with less searching and interpreting required. It also has many FAQ's and DIY's that are assembled into 1 place from that site and many others (including TT.net).

Like I said, I was on it for an hour(ish), so after more use..... I may or may not agree. Just don't overlook the site because this group says it's inferior...... check it out and draw your own conclusions. Each site has it's strengths & weaknesses. As you become more familliar with the 300, TT.net may become your only resource. Untill I do, I am using every resource at my disposal.

So if you want to continue flaming me for suggesting a website (that I've barely been on), go ahead....... that's your issue!!!!:dunno:

Cheers,
