I contacted FX Designs with a concern regarding the current pricing on their website.
I was looking at a fiberglass hood for my car. The Difference in price between US and CDN was $100. US$299 CDN$399.
So with our dollar being so strong I contacted them to see what they were going to do with the pricing.
The response was that they could give me a 10% discount on the price of CDN. So they were going to be generous and give me a $39.00 discount. LOL
But here is the best part. Our Dollar is now worth more then the US dollar right?
I was also told that they would be doing away with the US pricing.
Hold on a minute here! So our Dollar goes up and these people decide, MEH! Lets stick it to the Buyers and charge them the higher prices.
What they should be doing is saying ok lets compromise here. How about $325. Stay close to the old US prices but raise it a bit to compensate for what ever they can think of.
My opinion on this place is not very good at all. Buyer Beware of this info I have just given you. |

I completely agree, I've contacted a few places about this as well.
Me: So, its listed as 2400USD or 3400CDN... so.. If I pay in CDN it should be like 2300?
Them: No, they are set prices and dont reflect the exchange rate at all.
Me: So you are telling me they DO NOT reflect the exchange rate.. so I can convert my money to US dollars and pay 2400.. or pay 3400 CDN... because.. if they dont reflect the exchange and are jsut set prices, then the US price should stay down should it not?

Well They have yet to respond to my last email to them. I dont expect that they will with all honesty.
I just hope there is no one interested in their product. |

did you ever consider the cnd price relates to it shipped here, packaged to be shipped here or just cause they want to.
if the price is no good buy elsewhere.
i have never heard of this company but wtf, not liking a price is in no way grounds for negative feedback. |

Makes perfect sense. But we are Canadians and we should support the canadian economy and canadian stores when we can. The flip side is they should be supporting us as well and setting up prices to reflect that they do indeed want local business.
Like when I bought my wheels, shops here were quoting 2 to 4 times more than I paid in the end, shipping, tax, duty, and exchange all included. Too bad, i would have happy keeping my money in town.
With Christmas coming, canadian retailers are going to get nailed unless they get their pricing in line with north american currency realities. |

| For the record if you check almost anything that deals in us currency and can currency they very rarely change the prices as they simply have no incentive to other then to lose money. |

EZ motorsports did not give me a price period! I asked for one and i was told to find another price and it will be beat, i found a price and they said they could not beat it.

Yeah i assumed that as well but i contactd jdm source and they asid they have a "set price" for us and cdn and do not adjust due to exchange rates.. so I offered to pay in USD instead and they ignored me. |
