I have an 00 Sir with just a cai and I'm thinking about buying an vafcII controller for my car. I want the vafc to change my vtec crossover point but after reading other forums majority says to leave it if your car is stock. Should I still buy the afc? or just wait till i get more mods?

Don't buy one now, and don't buy one when you have more mods. When you do have more mods, go get your ECU chipped and tuned with Hondata, Crome, Uberdata, etc. VAFC is a waste of money.

And why would you need to change your Vtec crossover when all you have is a CAI?

.....:dunno:

My buddy has a gsr and I like how it kicks in at 4500rmp rather then by 5600rpm. What other mods would you recommend? besides header, and exhaust becuase I'll be purchasing those on the weekend.

His kicks are 4500 for a reason, yours is higher for a reason.. it has to due with how the engine is designed, his is larger and flows more at lower rpm hence it can handle the vtec at a lower rpm, yours needs to eb higher before it can take advantage of it.

Do not change your crossover you will only hurt performance unless you have a reason to, ie cams, headwork, header, turbo etc... and if you do change it, do it on a dyno... and do it properly dont just guess

Thanks alot for the info! you just saved me $250:thumbup:

btw I was wondering if you can answer another question I have.... I bought some xenon super white bulbs from this guy and was going to use them as my turn signal lights. Is this legal? or am I better off to leave it amber?

as for mods i would go with a turbo if u have the money that is to do it right, meaning ull have to put money into ur block or else it has great chances of blowing up lol
