FS Chevy Shortbox Stepside NICE - Click HERE for Original Thread

The Daver
My brother is unfortunately in a situation where he may have to sell his baby.
1989 (I believe)
1/2 ton
reg cab
shortbox stepside
350ci v8 (5.7 litre)
Automatic (700 R4)
Shorty Headers
True Dual Dynomax exhaust
K&N filter
5/3 drop (I think may even be more)
Billet Grill
Clear corners/signals
carbon fibre tails
smoothie front bumper (one little ding)
only set of fenders in western Canada (functional louvers)
smoothed in roll pan
18 inch Boss 304's with brand new rubber
upgraded interior to buckets out of a 97 (I believe)

There is definatley more but this is off the top of my head. The truck was his baby and he has owned for 3 years maybe more. The engine was rebuilt three years ago and it isnt even broke in yet the truck just sits in his garage. In those years he has redone it twice. First it was yellow now silver. He did all the work himself including body and paint. That being said it isnt perfect but he does real good. This truck is beautiful and he only drives it rarely in the summer. Ill let the pictures do all the talking tho. More pics upon request or go look at it. He is asking $6500 obo. Not including the rims it will have stock rally rims with decent rubber. The 18's can be negotiated but you have to talk to him. Either post,pm or call Dan at 780-818-2064 or 780-789-2211

That looks to be about a 3/4 drop. Maybe even a 2/4.

The Daver
No Im pretty sure its 5/3 it looks less cause of the wheel gap he got too low of profile tire. But these pics are old Im pretty sure it has less wheel gap now

lowryder99
Hmm a 3/5 is just a really rare drop for these trucks.

Most common is a 2/4 with springs up front and shackles and hangers in the back. Or the 3/4 route which is springs up front and shackles and hangers in the back. Then there is the route of a 4/6 which is springs/spindles up front and an axle flip in the back.

So it's pretty hard to get a 5 inch drop unless 3 inch shackles are used which kinda suck.

Is the axle flipped?

Ive done a ton of drops on these trucks in my day and it just seems to be sitting rather high, even with the wheel gap.

Still a clean truck though.

The Daver
It might not be 5/3 thats just what I thought I know lots bout these trucks aswell. Its a Belltech kit none the less and thanks its a very nice truck too bad he has to sell. Hopefully it goes to someone who will appreciate it.

Hey about how many KM??

The Daver
not too sure i will look into it but like i said he rebuilt the engine 3 years ago and since it has prob only seen 5000 at the most. i would suggest a tune up and last i had heard it may need an oil pan gasket since it is leaking a very minute amount. i will get exact k's later

sunfire2008
how fast?

and those look like hankook ventus STRH06 tires?

The Daver
well im not too positive your best bet would be to call him but it is pretty fast to my knowledge...not crazy fast or anything cause the engine mods are not to extensive but i forget to mention it has a mild cam i think. and ill check the rubber if you want

4thGenLude
mmm redneck rice

The Daver
I dont consider this truck redneck nor rice...care to explain???

crawford
is it still up for grabs or did he sell it

The Daver
no man hes still got it...he did mention that if it doesnt sell before summer hes gonna just keep it forever....hahahaha and he probably will cause it just sits there and doesnt really cost him much and its his baby...i actually told him to keep it but he kinda is in need of some money if you want anymore pics ill just get them from him so just let me know

crawford
yeah could you get me a few more pics im really interested in the truck its fuckin gorgeous

The Daver
K I will do and yes it really is a beautiful truck and nicely done you dont see many of this quality the only real thing is that the door jams and under hood arent painted but it is a nice nice truck there should be more pics this weekend

LOL...you moron...way to make an idiot out of yourself. Read up a little on how these suspension drops are classified and then get back to me...maybe hit up a little schooling for yourself.
