Crystal Glass on 61 ave and Gateway Blvd - Click HERE for Original Thread

GOT BOOST
So as some of you know a few weeks back I had the rear quarter glass on my Avalon smashed by some asshat.

I had decided to call my insurance co to find out my deductilbe. After realizing that it is only $100.00 deductilbe I figured I would send the car in to a glass shop. Crystal Glass was the first place I called on tuesday. After chatting with a very pleasant and professional lady on the phone on Tuesday, she mentioned that they could have the glass ordered and brought in from Calgary on Thursday. I was not planning on doing this right away as the plastic Ghetto look was working well and I would be out of town for a week.

Then Friday came and I had a meeting out in Leduc. 3 minutes on the highway at 120 km/hr my plastic ghetto windo had decided to rip away from the tape, making a loud machine gun sound in my car. I figure I would just open the rear window, crank the stereo up and call it a day. 5 min later, the noise became louder as more plastic peeled away. I pulled over to the shoulder and in a fit of rage ripped of my "plastic" window. It was then at that moment I had decided to book an appt with Crystal Glass.

On Saturday morning I went in and was greeted by a professional looking person who was happy and eager to help me out. I explained my situation and that I would be out of town. this was not an issue. He imediately called up his supplier to see if he could get the glass shipped here ASAP. Unfortunately he was not able to get the glass up right away.

The soonest the glass would be in the shop would be Wensday
I offered to pay the deductible upfront, gave my insurance info and offered to have someone drop the car off sometime on Tuesday and I pick the car up sunday night. They had also mentioned that they will store the car inside at night.

I give them a quick call on Friday to make sure that the car will be left out side sat night so I can pick it up sunday. They told me they have the instuctions on file already and wanted to know where they could leave the keys. I told them to hang on to it as I will swing by sometime that week to pick them up. At that point they also told me that they were going to pick the car up from their head office as it was being stored there.

On Sunday I went to pick up my car....... I was suprised and pleased to see they replaced the glass with OEM Toyota Glass. The car was clean on the inside (minus the blood) and the glass had been cleaned up. Normally there are a few chips laying around one can find. I did not find any.

Overall I give Crystal Glass high praise as they are very professional to deal with, car was ready on time, my instructions were followed perfectly. If I have any other glass needs I will definately go there. Crystal glass was my first call and last call. I was sold on them after chatting with the lady on the phone.
