Hopefully they can keep the price down on these things. I wouldn't buy one till they've proven themselves, but who knows, maybe they'll be the next big thing? Maybe even start a resurgence of cheap RWD coupes? |

| i never said that because i dont like them, but because i knew someone at a hyundai dealership. I think the new Tib looks pretty good and even the 05/06 tibs do. I was told to stay far away from them because they brake down all the time. my buddy has a 06 Tiburon and he has had more warranty work in 1 yr then i have ever had with my car. |

So one guy gets a Friday car and all Hyundais are junk? Someone should tell J.D. Power and Associates so they stop giving Hyundai all those quality awards.
Like Dave said, what took Toyota 30 years to attain, Hyundai has managed in 15. I used to write off Hyundai's cars as well, but spend some time in their model lineup and you'll likely be pretty surprised, especially when you note that they are still bringing some of the best value in the market. |

I guess I can use the following comparison to describe my view of Hyundai.
You can have a 500 HP Turbo Honda Civic and it might be as fast as a Ferrari Modena....but when it all comes down to it, its still just a Civic.
Thats just my 2 cents anyway. I would never want to be the owner of a Hyundai.

Well, like I said before I have 2 Hyundai's. A 07 Santa Fe & 03 Accent 4 door.:rolleyes:
The Santa Fe is a pretty good SUV, good power & looks good.
But the Accent, well that is a different story. It don't have great power & it's pretty ugly, but I just wanted a car to get me to Ft mac & back once a week. So far I almost has 100km on it & it runs great (knock on wood).Also it was cheap to buy.
So I could of got a cheap cavalier or a neon & etc. But I think Hyundai has a lot better name for itself that a Chevy cavalier or a Dodge neon.
But everybody is different & has there own taste in cars. |

Possibly in the future, but I'm talking about today's market...and we both know regardless of what Hyundai model you compare, when compared against its competitors...its resale value is less.

It has an alright profile, though I don't know where they were going with that quarter window. They just killed the shoulder line of the car. The snout looks like arse too.
And Hyundai confirmed that the Tau V8 isn't going to be in the coupe. It's being saved for the Genesis sedan only. |

Makes perfect sense to me. Pretty much every car manufacturer is making High Powered Sedans....NOT Coupes. Seems to be the "in" thing to do.

Actually, Hyundai is coming out with the RWD V8 Genesis sedan too
And for those that say Hyundai is crap, you were right until a few years ago...they were so bad it was amazing
But a new CEO took the whole company apart and Hyundai now has more global sales then Honda or Nissan
Not bad considering he only took over in 1999. And since that time, Hyundai has been the fastest growing automaker on the planet |
