No no no, he just hates all poor people. Sadly the American 'dream' has just ensured that many of those people are black. |

He paid his way into success. No talent, just money to pay for catchy beats and publicity. |

What? He was a a producer long before he was a rapper. He made those 'catchy beats' for dozens of huge rappers. |

Daddy was a huge political figure, (black panthers etc) and a journalist.
Dr. Mommy was the chair of the english department at chicago state university.....
He's a snot nosed rich kid who got his fame from having money to begin with, unlike real gangster rappers who started off freestyling on a corner in brooklyn or compton, or selling drugs to pay for a demo tape.
He was raised in an upper middle class background, went to a richy suburban school.
Mommy paid for his education sending him to The American Academy of Art then to Chicago State University, and then he dropped out.
Then he magically starts producing for other rap artists.... out of no where.... acting all gangster and trying to fit the typical "rapper" image.... I guess he bought his recording studio with his part time job money while going to university??? fawk.
Its money that got him there.... Hense my previous post of saying that he paid his way into success. |

Not to start shit I know he came from a wealthy background, I also watched his biography on STAR.Bbut that doesnot change the fact that he has what seems to be a natural talent for producing tracks, even if he didnt have to slang crack to figure out a way to work a computer and mix beats, which led to his rapping career, which I find more unique than other rappers albums since he doesnt seem to brag about slanging crack, or rollin on 24's, but talks about current events, and the way certain things plague our society.
and the last time I checked, polo's, burberry clothing, and cardigan sweaters arent the new thing in the streets of compton, but something worn more by the "chach" of suburbia |

Im not sure if you are familliar with the the Bape brand but if you've read anything about its designer Niggo and his company you would see that it is a very exclusive japanese designer botique company, very few hiphop icons have his blessing to wear the label. In some interviews he has stated that he does not want an image associated with his brand, even the american rapping community. But decent dressed rappers might not be a bad thing, that is why he created Billionare Boys Club, and Ice Cream with Pharrel for the rapping community. Though some my find this contradictory since the Japanese rap group he DJ's for, the Teryaki Boys, can often be found sporting his label. Numerous sub cultures across North America have started to adopt the Bape Brand. Just go search bape on beyond, or look at the affect it has had on the the generation "x" of asian decent. You can walk through high schools in many ubrban and suburban settings and find the bape label being worn without that gangster image which is so strongly associated with brands like rocca wear, or sean john
Nigo
And don't tell me you don't rock aviators, I think 90% of 780 members are not gangsters and have or still rock them.
And in my opinion I also think P diddy is alot worse than kanye. I also saw his biography on STAR. |

Congrats on using the internet to find out his back round. But unfortunately you STILL are terribly misinformed.
When has Kanye West ever tried to be "Gangster" ? Who gives a fuck if gangster rappers slang rock and shot people to get money for demo tapes...they still suck shit and are not even in the same category as Kanye.
His parents being educated and fairly well off has no significants in his talent as a Producer and a Rapper.
Who out there sounds like Kanye? Who out there tries to sound like the classic Gangster rappers like 2 Pac, NWA, etc? EVERYONE.
You have the right to think he sucks, etc...but please just get your facts straight. Kanye didn't "pay" his way to stardom...his unique, original style did.

I dont care about him being gangster or not, I'm saying that his parents money got him to where he is today.... Yes, money got him to where he is....Thats all..... Your irrelevant arguments have nothing to do with my statement. |

Hmm....ok so lets see...
There are PLENTY of family right here in Edmonton that make more money in 1 month than Kanyes family did in a year...so can there kids get into the rap scene using their parents money?

Why dont you call up Kanye and ask to suck his dick? You already bought his hoodie, and the way you talk about him make me wonder if your into his music or his cock.
This argument is useless, he sucks at rapping and he is the backstreet boy of Hiphop. Obviously he is the next 2pac in your head, so I'm not going to continue bickering back and forth.
And I never said he didnt have any talent. Just nothing compared to most. |

i agree  why the fuck is it that when something happens to a celebrity the world hears about it on every channel for days/months sometimes fucking years, yet things that matter in the world are barely EVER mentioned in the news, it seems to me that everyone is too fixed on fucking celebrities instead of wat fucking affects them or the world most, sure i dont know how it feels to lose your mom but i can assume its painful and sure kanye is probably feeling sad about it, but who cares honestly, like mothers die every day no one talks about them, people die in the thousands everyday in 3rd world countries yet we dont hear about them for example Sudan just recently and anna nicole smith, there were what 3 short reports about wat was happening in Sudan and like 30 on the death of anna nicole smith like honestly i dont give a fuck how she died she was a fucking junkie why the fuck is she on the news soo much and the shit in Sudan was barely even mentioned.
and as far as kanye acting all crazy goes, if you listen to his lyrics and not just the beat of his songs in some of them he does talk about being all that and does get all cocky. hes not a "true" rapper like 2pac, biggie, eazy-e were but he IS good and who cares how he grew up, 2pac also got a good education he was never from compton he never grew up like eazy-e grew up same with biggie so yea watever now a days everyone is fake so who cares just enjoy the music
and sorry if i offended anyone with the first bit of this comment but i just cant help myself, |

What are you even talking about? How does Kanye EVER try to be gangster?? He did an interview where he explicitlly says he LIKES not being seen as a "tough guy" to other rappers, (referring to comments made about him by Beanie Seigel) because it limits what you can do as an artist living in the public eye.
How many other gangster rappers rock skin tight pants, have clothing companies named Pastelle and have rainbows in their videos?
Shit, the guy did a song with the Teriakyi Boys...how many gangster rappers would do that to their image?
This is the most arrogant opinion i have ever heard about hip hop.
Gangster rap represents a small part of what hip hop is, and Kanye doesn't even claim to BE a gangster! Does his music even sound close to guys like 50, Jadakiss, or WC?
He was raised in an upper middle class background, went to a richy suburban school.
Who gives a shit if he comes from a wealthy background? Do you respect Bill Gates less because he went to one of the richest private schools in Seattle? No, because what background he comes from has absolutely nothing to do with what he has accomplished.
If you can't appreciate his music because he doesn't come from the same humble crack selling lifestyle as most other rappers, i feel sorry for you because your missing out on one of the greatest artists of our time.
Oh, and by the way, Tupac is widely considered the most authentic gangster rapper in the industry and in actuality, he SUCKED at selling drugs....amazing music, but shitty hustler....just fyi
Besides, how would having money make it easier for him to be accepted in the gangster rap world? Did it help other "true" gangsta rappers relate to him or his music? Or did those poor crack selling folk just want to give a rich kid from the subarbs a chance cause they felt sorry for him?
Thats the most ridiculous thing i've heard in a while. Honestly, what rapper has it easy breaking into hip hop becasue he was rich as a kid?!
If anything, that just shows how good his music is that artists in an industry so fueled by public image are willing to work a guy like Kanye, who shares a completely opposite background.
You know who Rick Rubin is? Hes a big fat white guy with a beard that looks like Gandolfs who produced some music for Slipknot. However, hes also responsible for "99 Problems", Jay's monster track from the Black Album. Jay defines a hustler from the projects making it big in rap. He's a god in the industry, and it doesn't look like he has any problem working with producers who didn't also sell crack in Marcy...so why should anybody else?
Mommy paid for his education sending him to The American Academy of Art then to Chicago State University, and then he dropped out.
Then he magically starts producing for other rap artists.... out of no where.... acting all gangster and trying to fit the typical "rapper" image.... I guess he bought his recording studio with his part time job money while going to university??? fawk.
What do you mean "magically" starts producing for other rappers? Just because you only heard about him when the public started loving him doesn't mean his climb to the top wasn't a long time coming. Have you ever listened to his production before he blew up? Guess who's responsible for most of the beats on The Blueprint (arguably Jay's best album). "Takeover", "Heart of the City", "Izzo"....amazing tracks that pretty much dominated the tone of the whole album. But you'd have to look real close in the credits to see his name even mentioned.
Its money that got him there.... Hense my previous post of saying that he paid his way into success.
No, its his TALENT that got him to where he is. A shitty artist, weather hes from the subarbs or off the block with money for studio time is not gonna make it If cant make good music.
If you can't appreciate his music because hes not gangsta enough for you, or becuase you think hes a "fruad" cause his parents were successful enough that he didn't have to resort to hustling...i dunno, i feel bad for you cause your really missing out.... |
