So the Eskimos decided to do a little cleaning...besides already trading away...pissing off...some of our great players over the last 2 seasons they now also fired few coaches

BUT they keep that whiny..snivelling.. big mouthed...finger pointing...weasel who has successfully broken a record not once but twice by keeping the Eskimos out of the playoffs Danny Maciocia

I haven't really ever paid much attention to football in the past, I still don't pay much attention, but watching the NFL at work I'm astounded at how much better the NFL running game is than in the CFL. I know that they like to keep it on the ground a whole lot more with the extra down, but god damn they have some players with crazy moves! You rarely EVER see CFL players cutting back inside and actually dodging tackles, save for a few exceptional running backs. In the NFL every team has several players who can turn what would be a 5 yard run in the CFL into 40 yards or more. Phenomenal.
Sorry to go off on a tangent there. I'm in agreement that Maciocia should be gone. The only reason he won the Grey Cup in his first year was because he inherited Higgins' team and it took him the better part of a year to completely ruin all of his teachings. He has made a couple of spectacular bonehead calls in the past two years, but people don't pay as much attention to the mediocre play calling that happens the rest of the time because they've just gotten used to it. Esks fans should be banning together and boycotting the ticket office until Maciocia is fired.
Keep in mind that I'm not really a fan of football. I just work in the sports department at the Journal and have watched the fuckups every weekend for the past two years. It's beyond pathetic now. How you can't succeed with some of the best players in the history of the CFL is beyond me. |

Well not like there was much reason to pay attention to football...
The fans are pissed and I wouldn't be surprised if there will be a lot less renewals of season tickets. I'm a holder and barely went to any games...I was at Castrol more than at Commonwealth
The empire crumbled....first by the firings of Higgins and Matthews...then this little weasel gets brought in to coach the team and from the start I wondered why the heck anyone thought that he had the makings for Head Coach
We were in 3rd place in '05 and it was just by the bad play of other teams that we won the cup that year...Calgary suffered 6 turnovers to lose the Western finals...hell he didn't even know what down it was during the final game
While Chapdelaine is no angel he certainly is being used as a scapegoat right now maybe to fool us into thinking they are working to rectify the problem ??
Maciocia got a free ticket it will be his a$$ on a skewer if the Esks don't make it at least to the finals next season

The Esks need to find someone that can put it through the uprights at least 80 per cent as well as Fleming. His retirement is a huge hit for the team, even with his play declining in the past two years.
I think they should do a raid on the Stamps and steal DeAngelis. |

The passing game is infinately better in the NFL too. Just depends who you're watching as to how much it gets used. There's really nothing the CFL is better at. I've been to 4 games this season and can't remember the scores from any of them, the fans and cheerleaders are more interesting than the games. |
