| I have no idea, but i was wanting to get a truck inspected that i would liek to purchase. How much do you guys think a good inspection is worth that can tell me whether or not the vehicle is good to drive? |

| I've only had to pay about $40-$50 for a vehicle inspection and that was at Tirecraft and Kaltire. |

| I don't know if they are still around but E-Lemonators inspecs for about $100 and its a 200 point inspection and they will inspect it wherever it is. I don't know about Veg but you can try. I used them about 4 years ago so they could be more expensive now. |

| Most places will charge supplies (if needed) and shop time so it's $100 - $150 |

Don't do E-lemonators! I did them once. They came back with a glowing report. I bought the car, and it turned out to be a lemon.
I asked the mechanic "Could all this stuff be perfectly good when they did the inspection, and then suddenly everything go bad all at once?" He said "No way, this stuff has been going bad for a while now, a lot longer than when they did the inspection".
They love to show you REAMS of paperwork for all the electronic inspection things that their fancy gadgetry does, but it's all smoke and mirrors for a bunch of guys who know surprisingly little about car inspection. |

I second AMA. They have no commercial interest in seeing your car breakdown. There are numerous stories of Crappy Tire, Kal-tire and other shops sabotaging cars to get the owners to perform some pretty expensive repairs in their shop. :o |

| I've used Alberta Inspections. They come to your door for $30. This is however just an inspection for the insurance company. It's not as thorough as one should be before purchasing a car. |
