File Recovery - Click HERE for Original Thread

I just accidentally deleted my MP3 file with thousands of songs.

Can anyone recommend software to get it back?!

Ouch

There are a lot of recovery programs out there... a friend of mine was happy with the program when she deleted files in error...sometimes though it renames them differently and you might have to go back and change all that with a lot of time taken to read and investigate my friend went with the Easeus program

http://www.easeus.com/datarecoverywizardpro/

Also there is

R-Studio Data Recovery Software: R-Studio
from R-Tools Technology

GetDataBack from Runtime Software ( www.runtime.org )
Make sure you don't create new files on the drive before you use getdataback. Otherwise you could overwrite data you want to recover.

Fast File Recovery

http://www.recovermyfiles.com/

Be careful it not only recovers the lost files it might also recover all the infected files your computer may have had. Make sure you ONLY recover the files you want.

Good Luck
:)

which one did you try? Use the first one it seemed to have the best results...if anything try them all...won't cause any damage unless you agree to continue on with the recovery

I tried the first three.

None of them could find any of the songs... Ah well. Live and learn.

Sorry dude you won't be getting your files recovered unless you send it to a recovery company. I have tried I am sure almost every kind of software for file recovery on a backup harddrive that I deleted the files off of by accident TWICE. Yes I am an idiot.

I have three friends that are programmers that tried to get it back as well but they couldn't.

Anyway there is a company in Calgary I think it's called "Get Data Back" but it's probably going to run you $500.

Good luck. I know how you feel.

I know have three backup harddrives lol
