LOS ANGELES — Nissan announced today that its 2009 Nissan GT-R will be priced at $69,850 for the base model, and $71,900 for the Premium trim. Both prices include delivery charges.
Nissan intends to build just 1,500 GT-Rs per year during this model's lifecycle, and will announce dealer allocation plans later this week.
Pre-orders begin January 1, 2008, and the 2009 GT-R will officially go on sale in June.
What this means to you: If you haven't already made friends with your local Nissan dealer, better get on the stick. — Kelly Toepke, News Editor

it could be cheaper in Canada.
we cannot assume anything. though it is probably fairly safe to assume that anyways. |

uhhh... GM charges $17,000 MORE for a new escalade in canada than in the states.
so I'd say its safe to assume there is going to be some kind of "fuck canada" tax on this car. |

| so are the 1500 to be for US, north america, or just the entire world? im assuming if its just for the US, then canada gets its own share right? |
|
|

| 1500 for the usa as i have understood it |

| Not as bad priced as i thought.. But as someone said.. Theres definately going to be the typical "Canada takes it in the bumb" tax on there.. |

| that's nice, good luck getting one.... |

| Put down your deposit now if you want one. If the US is getting 1,500, Canada will likely only get 150 as the usual allocation goes. |

Ummm... not $100k. If you're talking about the *new* GT2, its supposed to cost MORE than the Turbo, so expect more like ~$200k. |

i talked to the guys at eriksen(sp?) downtown. currently they are between 75-79k. but they are predicting once they get closer to the manufacturing date they will jump between 85-90k
they are currently taking pre-order deposits of 10k |

Highly doubt that..
1500 X $80,000 Give or take = $120,000,000.. Id say Nissan's got a fuck load more than 120 Mill invested in the GTR. |

nissan did lose nearly 80k per r32 gtr.
but they are still using variations of atessa today so you can amortize that cost over the last 18 years. |

how exactly did they lose 80k per R32 GTR? and from the money they lost on the GTR, they would have made up with the GTS, GTST, and GTS4. |

research and development for atessa and the rb26 cost nissan 11x,xxx per car in the r32 gtr.
nissan sold them for just a hair over 40.
Nissan didn't stop making money they just took a hit producing the car, but it paid off as atessa has been used every year since 1989 in numerous cars.
g35x for example. |
