hey EHOS read the first post...... yes the complete car was painted in july.
it was painted the day before the pics were taken. the paint is pretty good but the masking wasnt. we had time for some detail work but the oil coolers did not recieve the attention. it was repainted because the car sat outside alot and as you know with red paint what happens. the body on the car is nearly perfect and needed nothing but paint so the car would shine like it should. the mileage is documented as origional. someone should buy this now cause it will sell for $13000 plus come spring.... you wont be dissapointed.
this car has the mazda speed front lip. and the rear spoiler is a RE amemiya one. the wheels are made by Work and are 17x9 fronts and 17x10 rears. very light. interior is perfect, with a north american version pioneer stereo. It also has a mazda speed muffler. This car runs and drives like new. |

Sorry, I meant to write 'who repainted' the car instead of 'was it repainted' (obviously it was).
Nice FD, not too many low milers around! BTW, you should pop off those oil coolers come spring time and remove the paint as that could adversly affect the longevity of the engine. |

Same guys that painted Conroy's race car! I actually have never met them.
The paint seems pretty good, a little dust in the clear. Nothing a power polish can't remove. The prep work was virtually non-existent due to the condition of the car. The masking job was only average, there is still some overspray to deal with, but not bad. The paint is now approx. 5 months old and there are no signs of any problems.

No boost loss on auto's :) And HOLD button FTW.
(I've owned an Auto FD and overall they are quicker than 5spds 80% of the time). The only time they are slower is from stop/go, but the FD is a horrible 'launch' car (unless you're rich and can afford to replace axles/diffs). |

| the tranny is from a 95 rx7 that had about 80,000 kms on it. it was purchased and brought over to canada as a front clip parts. the complete swap will be from this car. |

The 5-speed conversion can be done by Conroy at 4Kruzn complete for around $2500. Once you have purchased the car you can arrange with Conroy the exact timing and price as he can be very busy!
