FS: JWT Sport 530BB Turbos - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hey guys, my old JWT Sport 530 (Custom Garrett GT2554) turbos are being rebuilt and balanced with brand new compressor wheels!

You might recall that I only had the turbos on the car for about 30K, and accidently dropped a nut in my intake tube that damaged the turbo compressor wheel. I didn't have time to rebuild them at the time because I wanted the car running for dyno tuning, so I ordered a new set.

The turbos should be rebuilt by Dec 7th. The turbos go new for $2900 + tax = $3074. I'll let these go for $2400 cash obo, shipped!

Here's a reminder of how kick-ass these guys are! Email me if interested - mikem @ ztune dot ca

You might want to reconsider the price. You can get them for $935 each so combined will equal $1870 plus shipping. Here is the link:

But good luck anyway.

Those are not JWT Sport 530s bud. Those are generic GT2554s, and will not fit the Z.

What do you mean they won't fit? The have the right number of bolt holes for the downpipe? They are the same physical size as yours? Please elaborate.

To anyone that knows the Z plumbing, the major difference are pretty obvious. Visually, they have the wrong compressor housing, they don't have the inlet adapters, and they have the wrong wastegates. The turbine outlet bolt spacing is also wrong.

I don't know if the oil/coolant fittings are also modified to fit the Z's stock piping.

Bottom line, they don't fit the Z, the JWT kit does. The JWT kit costs more because the generic GT2554s are heavily modified to bolt on like stock.

I recently tried fitting a GT2554 hybrid made by another company, and it was a total pain in the ass, requiring custom oil returns to be made, and the turbo outlet to be modified. The housings and adapters weren't done to anything close to the quality of the JWT kit.

I can guarantee it would cost way more in parts and labour to fit generic 2554s to a Z than it would to just buy the JWT 530 set that has already been modified to be a bolt-on.

Not to mention the housings would need to be reclocked and new wastegate actuator brackets would have to be fabbed up.

Not impossible. But if I was going to go to that trouble, I do it with GT2560Rs not GT2554Rs, so there'd at least be some additional benefit over what the 530BB already has to offer.

I dunno...from what I've seen and heard, and from driving the GT2560 car we just did, the GT2560s are more laggy, and don't give any more power than the GT2554s. The GT2554 wheels are perfectly matched. The GT2560 wheels are miss-matched in my opinion. The GT2560 should have a bigger compressor wheel to make more power to forgive it for it's additional lag.
