| pull off the waste gate line, it will be lots of fun under full throttle, I did it all the time in my 95 talon tsi and never had a problem |

To actually answer your question, if that little knob you are talking about is on a hose that goes between you wasegate and turbo, then yes turning the knob in would increase boost.
If that little knob happens to be on you a/c line then no, turning of that knob would not increase your boost.
If you happen to find yourself in situation #2 you will need a mbc and a boost gauge before turning up said boost. |

You could even make it nice and have some fishline tied around the wastegate line and feed it through the fire wall and dash, so no one sees it, but when they race, tug the cord which pops off the waste gate line and no one will no what hit em.
And you prob wont have a boost controller since they didnt come stock on the cars. |

| no i have a boost controller that has to lines 1 goes into the wastegate and the other into the turbo small black tubing and its an aftermarket part for sure i no that, but i think that i have a boost leak does ne1 know how to check for that i think that its comming out of my throttle body or from my intake around the gasket has ne1 had this problem b4 and how did u fix it, plz help me....... |

You could check the vfaq pages they have pages of this kinda stuff. Easiest way to check for leaks on your throttle body would be to spray some carb cleaner around it and see if idle changes. If not build yourself a boost leak tester and fill up the system to 30psi listening for a hiss, if no hiss spray some windex or soapy water over your TB and couplers. First thing i would check cause it is easiest is you dump tube, mine cracked due to an aftermarket intake and i didn't reallize that it was a problem for a week.
As said before how do you know you have a boost leak? Is you idle normal? does your boost gauge twitch rapidly when you hit full boost? If your car drives like shit when you floor it and your boost spikes then falls rapidly then you have a leak to the waste gate acutator and should replace the line. |
