Hey guys. I realize that some or most of the effects are computer animated, but how did the Brian guy get the "smoke" coming out of his fender? It has something to do with the turbo. Is it real? If it is, how the hell did he do it?
One last thing, on the first fastnfurious, is it a sound affect added in the mitsubishi eclipse when he shifts it makes that "clink" sound?
I've just been curious about those two things. Thanks guys. |

| not sure, but the smoke coming out the fender might be (if this was real life) from an external wastegate which is plumbed to blow out the fender. |

I think that is his nitrous.
I thought that car had one of them nitrous for the intercooler.
it just purges out the front part there. |

| oh, the nitrous purge ya that is probably what he is talking about. But I thought the skyline also had the wastegate vent out the fender. |

| as for the clink sound, its probably just an enhanced sound affect of the transmission synchros locking. |

| I don't know about a clicking sound but when he shifts gears its the BOV that makes a noise. The car doesn't even have a turbo but thats magic! |

Don't count on alot things being "correct" in FNF 2.
Mostly for "wow" effects for the gereral public.
Like the flame throwing mufflers, dumb, but possible., but why?...
I'd place my vote for the Nitrous purge too, but thats ALOT of purge... |

its a nitrous perge valve.. Its to make the crowd around his car fall down laughing... or blow womens skirts up (reason alone to get no2)

I think the "clank" sound was added by the sound editors for effect...
The only shifter I've ever heard make a "clank" sound is a Ferrari or Lamborghini... Unfortunately, I wasn't driving :( |

come to think of it, my friends hurst shifter does clank when shifted... its one of those ratchet shifters.

The car on that link is NOT the 2f2f skyline. Did you even see the movie? And yes, of course the spray on the bumber was nitrous. Wastegate emission would never be visible like that. the new sport compact car mag has a write up on all the 2f2f cars. the skyline is one of the slowest. the ugly pink s2000 was the fastest with a 13.7.

Did you read the article .......
"Part two of the movie is already well under way with this car sitting in the top spot. Once again another feather in the cap,"
they used his car as the model... obviously used a different paint scheme (like the S2000 in the first movie) and they also made a couple extra of the car with the dumbed down engine .. just thought I'd clear that up. |

| The skyline purges like 100 times.... waste of money... but good effecx. The spray u see coming out is nitrous... and that's craig lieberman's car... just it's not painted for the movie yet.. |
