| My 300zxt w/ the vg30et is serviced usually by Sumaru's auto or Zippys |

I've heard horror stories about how there was one Tim Horton's with a video camera in the washroom.....but you don't see me giving my business to Dunkin'Donuts
If you have concerns, talk to Sumaru's yourself and tell them that if you get work done by them...that you want to know & see ALL the details of it. |

Also, I would recommend you spending your hard earned money on putting in a better platform of an engine into your bay.
Something like an SR20DET would be nice :D
It's already factory turbocharged....much easier to bring out the high hp #'s than N/A KA24 or F/I KA24 |

| This is just an engine discarded from an SR20 swap but as I dont have the cash to do the swap myself. The horror story was from one of my best friends. I would never go to Sumarus. |

You asked and got our answers...
Buy a shop manual for a 240sx (from nissan) and rebuild it yourself...
Try pe tunning, zippys, midas....
Hell if you run out of places, go to EZ... :( |

| Thanks for your help guys. I just don't wanna spend that much on an engine (SR20DET), I have school to pay for. But I am planning to invest more than a dozen donuts... |

I have a FSM for a 90 240SX. I would rebuild the engine yourself if you have a shop at your disposal. If you don't you can farm out the work you can't do, and put the emgine together yourself. I considered it but didn't like the cost of a rebuild. You could use Campbell's or Western Japanese. Sorry to hear about school.

| What kinda cost were you looking at?? Its the old engine out of Dons 240, I'm his brother. I know I need to do the timing chain for sure, but I thought if I was gonna put it in , I might as well rebuild it too. |

| If the engine has good compression there is no point on spending all that money on rebuilding the engine. It probably only needs a new timing chain. Anyways your looking at $600 to $800 to replace the timing chain. Now if you want to rebuild the engine well I would say there is no point unless you can do it yourself because you are looking at aprox $3500. At that point I would say buy a SR20DET. |
