Im looking for the name of this particular part, circled in red.
Its for a 2.0L VW Engine.
I think its either an idler or tension pulley

It broke on my Gf's Jetta tonight, and I need to get it fixed ASAP for her. |

Got the answer from VWVortex last night.
Got a reply within 10 seconds of posting.
I got the part out now, after the car was towed to my house. Looks like the bearing seized and seperated. |

| Where in gods name did you buy a 560 dollar alternator. The most expensive I've seen an alternator for any of the variations of the engine that came in the golf is about 240.00 |

Roller according to the guy behind the parts counter, I also took in what was left of the stock one.
