The 2 is finally up and running. As usual with any new engine, it has issues, but I'm just glad to have it running again at this point...
It only took 3 months of me working on it (admittedly on and off...) and 3 days with 2 techs on it. Gotta love JDM engines without diagrams or info...
Anyone want to buy an RX-7 in rough shape? |

| For sure! After the kinks are out though... It should be soon. My goal is to have it sorted out in time for the winter performance driving school Jan. 12. It'll suck pretty bad to take the course in a car that misfires at anything over 3k under any respectable load. All told, that seems to be the only problem. I've put about 100km on it now and it looks like the ECU has everything sorted out that it can. It drives a lot better than it did last night. Under normal driving/cruising, you'd never know there was anything wrong with it. It only has a problem when I use more than about 1/3-1/2 throttle or tromp on the pedal. Gear shifts are still a little interesting too. |

Awesome! Good luck with the rest of your diagnosis. If you can't figure it out, I would take it to Wilsons Auto Tech, they are good over their or to Project Omega.

Project will most likely get it... When I went to Wilson's for a new starter they ran screaming because of the 20v. If that scared them off, I can only imagine what they'll say about actually getting into the engine itself....
It depends on how fast Rob can get to it though. I might just take it to Toytech. They've been pretty good to me so far. They weren't up for the last bit though, so we'll see. |

Those guys at toytech were pretty good to me too.
They're rates are a little bit high though, well compared to Rob that is.
they worked on my clutch and a few other things, which i cant remember. |
