That's because you live there. ;) It's like the "Don't like the weather, wait five minutes." cliche. Albertans actually think this is their own phrase. Every four season climate on earth has weather that changes on a dime. I did laugh the first time I read these, but the second time, with the province name switched, I groaned. It was even less funny the next three times.
Anyone notice that temperature was referenced in Fahrenheit? :p

I noticed...
but I dunno it's like miles and kilometres.... if I say I live 150km north of Edmonton, people say oh that's not too bad, but if I say I live about 100 miles north of Edmonton, all of a sudden it seems like it's an ungodly distance to drive. :P |
