We get a lot of questions regarding the different features of the Compustar Pro remotes. So we'd though we'd list down the pros & cons of each one of the systems we offer.

Compustar Pro systems are available in two different styles, 2 Way and 1 Way. 2 Way systems allow communication between your vehicle and remote. This means you can send commands to your vehicle and know that your remote can receive information back from your vehicle. 1 Way systems allow communication only to your vehicle.

2WLCD / P2W9000FMR

This remote is the most iconic of the Compustar line as it features a LCD screen that displays the status of your vehicle at all times. It boasts a 5000 ft transmission range and is the ideal choice for those looking for a system packed with programmable features.

2WLED / P2WSHLEDR[b]

This remote is also a 2 way device, but instead of utilizing a screen like the 2WLCD this remote uses lights and sounds to confirm that your vehicle has started. This system features a 3000 ft transmission range.

When purchasing the 2WLCD this remote is provided as the secondary remote. It is a 1 way system, meaning the vehicle will not be able to page back to it, but it is ideal for those who would like something smaller to carry around. This system features a 5000 ft operating range.

1WSH / P1WAMR

This system is the most basic of the pro series line up. Perfect for those on a budget that still would like brand name performance. This remote is only slightly larger than that of the 1WFM and features a 3000 ft operating range.

All of the units described above can be paired as a starter & alarm system or as a stand alone alarm or starter system. Please note that operating range quoted on the Compustar website is for US models only (Canadian models have a considerably larger range).

Garage Works offers a full lifetime warranty on all labour. Compustar warrants to the original purchaser that this product shall be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use and circumstances. The remote control units are an exception in that they are warrantied for two years from purchase.
