F*^`ing ice!!!! - Click HERE for Original Thread

Blackout-spec
last night i was walking down my neighbors driveway to my car with a handful of boxes(gifts) and slipped on some black ice. broke my fucking arm!!!! at the time i didnt think it was broken because i could still move it slightly but i guess i fractured it right at the elbow. im starting to get sick of winter already!!! now i get 4-6 weeks in a lovely cast!

when i was at the hospital the nurses/doctors fixing me up said i took a granny spill. kinda cracked me up haha.

anyone else take a spill? with all this warm weather, its melting the snow during the day and and at night everything is ice!!!
now i have to somehow drive my standard car with one arm. steer and shift with my left arm.

End rant.
My early Xmas gift from mother nature.

I've driven stick with just one arm before... Gas, clutch, hold steering wheel with right knee, reach over shift, clutch, gas.. heh certainly makes you granny drive...

I normally hurt myself more if I don't fall, like I do the funky chicken and manage to stay upright, I kink my back(I broke it bout 10 years ago. actually 10 years ago Dec 27th to be exact). where as if I fall I tend to catch myself with my arms or shoulder... I don't remember ever falling while holding boxes, so I really can't say if I remember falling on my ass with that one..

but yeah.. does suck... just think could always be worse... My nieghbour is having one hell of a December... but that's a diff story..3's, she wishes....

Tell your neighbour to clean their driveway. Legally, they have a responsibility to provide a safe path to their door. :)

GOT BOOST
dude that sucks.

Now you are going to have to use "the stranger" more often.

x2, except i've mastered it so, i am now able to drive normally with just one hand shifting and using my legs to steer. you end up doing it a lot if you own a 240

anyhow it really sucks when you fall it could be worse bro, my old man slipped a few years ago, had to get surgery done to his back.

same kind of thing happened to my dad a couple years back, around the same time too. Slipped on the ice outside of our house, landed funny on his leg and broke it in two places and the bone pierced the skin about three inches below his knee cap. Had to have surgery right away and he couldn't do anything for six weeks. Definitely wasnt a good way to spend christmas.
