You guys are more annoying than the ads themselves... Hence why the new rule was created.
Keep arguing, push for a suspension, not that I have any power or weight around here... I'm just saying, you're being kind of a douchebag, and it takes one to know one... So when the biggest douchebag of all (me) is calling you on your bullshit - maybe it's time to chill?

I'm gonna start by saying it's ironic that the post is annoying to read because of a certain area of the page that seems to hog up the real-esate, but that's neglegable.... of course
My second thought is the old truth in marketing and business: "one person complianing, is equal to about 1,000 or so that think the same but don't necessarily have time to complain." |

| Having an advertisement take up half the first post on each thread does not bother me in the slightest, if it *REALLY* hurts your eyes or brain *THAT* much having to scan down to the next line twice as fast... Maybe you need your fucking head examined. |

How is that "pro-ad"?
The point is that you can now be penalized for doing so since it's essentially spamming. The punishment being that you'll lose your post count. |

Wouldn't the "ads suck" comments in every thread annoy you even more then? |

| i dont have a problem with the ads but might i ask why it must be in the first post? could it be on the top of the thread like the one on the top of the site or one down the side kinda like buysell.com? |

It sure does.
I tried doing it, but realized it was pretty annoying to post that way as well.... |

| On some forums, they have the ad as a whole second post. Its even more annoying than just taking up a small part of the first post. |

My biggest beef with the ads is when your typing away about your post and you are keeping your punctuation and paragraphs all pretty along with posting pictures, then after clicking post its all messed up and squeezed together.
The pictures are moved around and if they had captions in the text area they don't line up...
Its a real bother when you make a nice post.
That and I have a screenshot of an ad from a while ago about bedwetting.....
But that could be applicable if I had a crazy fast car and got so excited and peed a little but still....
I don't think the ads are going anywhere.. |

heh, i can't spell.
Might I add that unconsciously, the users are saying "ads suck, read below" as a way of annoying everyone so that the mods will be forced to remove the ads, thus making the issue go away. It is analogous to: beeping your horn every time you encounter an obnoxiously large speed bump, so that the people who live next to the bumps will eventually complain to the entity responsible for that road and have the bump removed. |
