you can use this diet for bulking as well as cutting. it's versatile. for bulking you need to get about 1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight. so if you're 160lbs... you need 240grams. to keep your definition you need to calculate the minimum calories needed to maintain your lifestyle and weight. so given these two "fixed" variables... you then experiment with your body and find the right amount of carbs needed to keep you in ketosis. once that variable is solved you will have grams of protein needed... then grams of carbs needed. carbs and protein have x amount of calories per gram so from there calculate total caloric intake then subtract this from your body's caloric need. then you're left with xxx amount of calories... convert xxx calories into grams of fat and you have your basic diet. also from what i remember you need a day where you load up on carbs too. of course this isn't a day where you eat anything and everything... to keep the definition you need to watch the caloric intake... while still feeding yourself the 240grams of protein... basically this one day per week is a day where you switch to high protein/low fat/moderate carbs.
