"2happy" comes into the conversation BLATANTLY breaching the forums rules by negatively commenting on the forum revenue advertisements...
Afformentioned "2happy" is only called "noob" because of lack of post count and unrecognizeable name.
"2happy" makes reference to my "double posting" which was actually like 40-posting in 2 other threads completely unrelated to *THIS* thread and having already been dealt with by moderators hence is of ZERO relevance to the topic at hand...
Two of my good friends enter thread and call "noob" on this member "2happy" bullshit and are suspended?
As I said, I'm very confused, is this guy "2happy" somebody high up? And if that's the case, I think perhaps a warning should have been issued, or perhaps the fact that "2happy" set a terrible example by breaching the forum rules?
Maybe if anyone could take the time to clarify this, either here or through PM, it would be greatly appreciated. |

I hope this clarifies things a bit.
1) 2hapy is not someone high up in the chain here.
There seems to be some confusion with the post. From my understanding 2happy mistook your double post as an avoidance to the “adds suck“ rule. I believe 2happy was just trying to make you aware of the rule, or something along those lines. I did not see the double post myself, only the single one. The issue should have stayed between yourself and 2happy. It should have been dropped or continued on with a flurry of PM’s creating mass casualties in both PM boxes.
Ryan should have not jumped in. This was perceived as either he was not aware of the rules or trying to suppress members especially new ones trying to be helpful. The rules broken here were 5) Users considered to be trolls and/or users that troll, will be automatically banned. 7) Do not be a jackass and/or a post-whore.
Further to this Aaron decided to jump in re enforcing the breaking of rule 5) and 7).

Jackass? Hardly. I've been much more of a jackass everywhere else and never had a problem. Everyone's a jackass here; if you guys actually enforced that rule, you'd have no users above 150 posts.

I hear what you are saying. As mentioned I only saw the one post from Rob and then the replies that followed. It was the tone of the post that was perceived and not constructive and jumping in on a noob for bringing up the rules.
As for the Jackass comment I agree to a point. However this was taken in context with the first paragraph I wrote in this post.
I am further investigating the 2happy post. It appears it may have been misinterpreted on our end.

How about implementing a "verbal warning" system or something like that... a PM to the user with the thread where the rules were broken.
It might avoid veteren users logging in, not being able to post, noticing they're suspended, wondering what for, and then finding out it's as something as rediculous as this... |

It is very difficult to understand the true meaning behind posts on the internet. Sometimes mistakes happen and actions are a bit harsh.
I will work to get some issues resolved or understood before Friday.
I think it might be a good idea to maybe have a moderator or two or so show up to the meets on Fridays. Not to baby sit, but for people to come up and say hi, or run ideas past us if they like.

Everything that has been posted to Ryan is applicable to you. You have more of a history with suspensions and banning's than most members combined.
Your temp suspension will be lifted. While agreed that the circumstances unfolded in a most unfortunate manner. Taken into consideration that calling someone a "noob" does not warrant a ban or suspension, the perceived meaning behind it in the situation did.
To make all things equal 2happy will also be receiving a temp suspension equal to the sentence you each have had.
Anyone else?
