I've copied this here in case people don't get the email I sent out of Friday as we need to respond on Monday. This is for the z car club, WRMC, BMW, and PCA clubs.
We are now at the time where we can book dates for 2008. I've just got off the phone with Stratotech and the following dates are currently open (pending booking of cart days that have priority). Most of these are Saturdays as Sundays are apparently quickly filled by bike and cart events. There's a few holiday Mondays and Tuesdays mixed in. What the track owner would like us to do is to pick three dates (in order of preference) and get back to him ASAP (ie, Monday). I don't have a good handle on our 2008 schedule to avoid things like our show&shine and DTP which appear to be in June. Let me know what would work, pick three in order and we can do a run-off vote or something. Once we get our picks back to the track he'll use that to get us our day based on other requests and priorities.
June 21, 28
July 1 (holiday Tues), 5
Aug 4 (holiday Mon), 9
Sept 6, 13, 27
Looking at last years events I'd go for:
July 5, Aug 9, and either June 28 (if the show&shine rain out date isn't here) or Sept 6.
If I have to I'll go this those dates on Monday. I'm going out of town on Friday and will have to miss the meeting on Thurs (if it hasn't been moved). I'll fill in people before I go on the latest by email. |

I don't care what dates, I will make myself available. I love the Stratotech. Thanks again Jeff for putting on such a great event this summer.
Have a happy new year.
Cheers,

The only input I can give at this early stage is the holiday weekends would have one advantage in that they wouldn't conflict with any possible slalom dates (still TBD). Reason being that we can't book Namao on long weekends. |

| I'm flying out shortly and haven't heard anything back yet. I'll give them a ring on the 15th when I'm back. |

Ok we can have our pick of the following three days, their all currently open waiting for our (quick) decision.
July 5
Aug 9
Sept 6
I'm thinking that July 5th would be the best based on what little I've heard back. Any more input before we book? |

July would be nice. So where do I buy the Z Car membership to get in on this again. :D
Or do I need to go buy a Z car...... I could put Z emblem on my car if that counts? |

Jeff can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the plan is another 4-way club collaboration with the Polar PCA, NABMW and WRMC clubs.
Besides, we need "instructors" for this event anyway which the Z club can't provide on its own. |
|
|
| aarrgghh |
Inzane is correct, we're doing the four way club thing again. I believe we may have had some non-members last time, however space is limited and club members from the four clubs will have priority (instructors though are always welcome).
I'll be emailing the July date off to the track tomorrow. |

Dude! (referring to that commercial)
The annual Z Club show n' shine is always on a saturday,
half our regular slaloms will probably be on a saturday,
DTPs and SCCs are typically on saturdays,
our spring and/or fall cruises are usually on saturdays,
etc..
Bottom line, you need a better work schedule. :p |

Dude, I would seriously recommend you come out to one of the auto-x before hitting Stratotech. You will feel much more comfortable at Stratotech if you do. |

Talk to "aarrgghh" (Jeff), he handles club memberships now.
If you're hoping to attend the stratotech track day, please consider attending one of our autocrosses first. It is highly recommended!! (we'll have a couple autocross dates on the calendar very shortly). |

Yea that's the plan.. I need a little seat time before I go putting the freshly painted car into the gravel traps. :D |

Best way is to show up at the next meeting. That way you can join up, meet some people in the club and find out about upcoming events over the summer.
Or, PM me and we can arrange an earlier meeting if you like. |
