Moderator Guidelines - Click HERE for Original Thread

I honistly feel that some mods are taking there power too seriously. there's alot of things that they do completely fairly but others are just going too far. it isn't benifiting the site to be banning and suspending the most active members on the site and at the meets. If this keeps up there could be a lot of movement of active members to other sites. we have our guidelines to follow as members and by blatently breaking them we deserve the consequences. i'm thinking that there should be consequences for the mods over using thier powers too. or perhaps a shuffle in moderator powers. In my humble opinion, the guys that show up to the meets and know the members personally make better moderators on these forums such as Chrome Dragon or even GOT BOOST. i regularly atend the meets and those are the only two moderators i've ever met in person and i also feel that they are doing the best job as moderators.

edit: i've also met Markis and BLOCKER breifly, both seem to be stand up guys.

just a thought.

To me it seems like some moderators have their panties in a bunch. People getting banned for calling someone a "noob" is a little extreme.

Agreeing with Greg, continuing with this "free for all" moderator suspending/banning, the members will eventually leave this forum, as there is others starting...... IE www.scmotorsports.ca etc.

Being a member before it was "780tuners", I dont think members attitudes have gotten worse, they have gotten better by far.... Remember the old EZ bashing days? WAY worse things were said.

I think the Administrator of this site needs to give their head a shake...... Yes you Markis, and re-think your moderator selection process, or supervise it properly. This has gotten out of hand.

Keep in mind that these members that you are banning and suspending, are partially responsible for the success of this forum.... IE promoting this site by putting their cars in shows for v8less, giving technical advice, telling people about 780tuners, and the car meets.

That is true...

Some of us regulars that are banned for no real good reason, with no explanation, and so far, no response to PMs, might not be inclined to rep at certain events; CC4C, DTP, etc; It's a long drive to Calgary for DTP and other events down there, like SCC.

All 3 of us that have posted here are good supporters. We've all attended SCC events, track days, drag nights, etc. When people ask us where we all hang out, the answer is here and UC on fridays.

We all help out much more than we trash-talk, and when we do trash talk, we either know who we're talking to, or we're poking fun at new guys.

It's never gotten to the point where people are actually going to be offended or hurt or whatever....

I agree with everything these guys have said.. Couldn't have put it any better.

Don't forgot what makes this site. The members. Spit in there face long enough and there probably not going to sit around to take it.
