xs power turbo's - Click HERE for Original Thread

Prudz_lude
hey guys i am wondering how good these turbo's are. I know xspower is an ebay brand but i have seen in a couple tuner mags that have strictly used this brand. In modified mag they had an evo pushing 600whp using an xs power turbo and a bunch of other xs power parts.

Feedback from people who have actually used them would be appreciated. Yes i know you get what you pay for, yes i know they suck ass iyo, yes i know all the typical hate comments. I don't care. I only want feedback from someone who has actually used one.

Its like obx. I have seen so many people bash obx but honestly everyone i know with an obx part has never had any trouble which is the funniest part. I've heard storys of the lsd's but that can easily be fixed.

Back on topic. Feedback would be appreciated on xspower.

My manifolds from them have been fine, but I would still be wary about anything with moving parts. I've heard they have gotten much better than they originally were though.

Its a EBAY turbo........ not an exhaust or intercooler piece. Definitely not something I would put in my car.

Here you go.\

i had there t3/t4 turbo on my car, made 360 at the wheels at 14 psi, that was running off the wastegate, never got a chance to dyno it at 20+, but i had it on my car for over a year then sold the car, it worked just fine for me, spooled fully between 3600-3800, it was 50/63 a/r i believe, its been awhile.

yah thats what my friend was planning on buying for his talon as well. He said on one of the usdm forums a bunch of guys with talons had them running fine with that kind of power. I think i am going to pick one up. They are cheaper in price than some other turbos and if it breaks i wont be crushed. I'll just buy a different turbo from another manufacturer. Still i would like some more feedback. Thanks for what has been said so far.

they have been known to split in half, implode, explode, you name it they have done it.

As for manifolds, mixed results.
keep in mind no matter how much you spend on a stainless steel manifold it will crack over time. Even if you bought a full race mani for 2200 usd.

when it comes to turbos, wastegates, manifolds etc you really do pay for what you get.

Eh, turbos...yeah. I'd be scared. I bought one once for my first turbo attempt and, I eventually sold it before I even tried it because of all the bad things I read. Instead I bought a used holset.

But waste gates and bovs, I wouldn't think twice about buying them again. Its just a valve. As long as they're sealed and move freely.

However some guys seem to get away with ebay turbos, just make sure you run an oil restricter. That seems to be the biggest killer of them, too much oil.

hmmmmm well im not buying my turbo for at least 4 months. I am going to ask around on some other forums and find out some more about them. Thanks guys.

Holset hx35 ;) Cheap n good.

I dont really feel like bringing up the link cause im lazy but... google: ebay turbo integra. Some guy bought a complete turbo setup for his b18 (or something??) and made a review of what worked, what didn't and what breaked.
He said:
-You cant beat the ic setups for the price....
-The wastegates are sketchy at best.
-The BOV's blow (pun intended)
-The turbo's are made with the same care and attention to detail as shopping carts.
I personally have never used any of their products but I havent ever been in a situation where I needed a complete kit. My opinion is purely based on what I have read but for the money you save it isn't worth risking your engine. You can get a nice intercooler with pipes real cheap and they will preform like a name brand... stay away from everything else.
