Ok i decided to spend my money on a better turbo kit rather than xspower. After reading so many damn reviews last night i figure f it, i am going to spend an extra 500-600 dollars and get a brand that is trusted.
http://cgi.ebay.ca/Greddy-TD04-Turb...1QQcmdZViewItem
However, i do not want to use the emanagement. I want to use a hondata s300 soooooo my question is. if i buy this kit how much can i sell the emanagement for? I was thinking 200 dollars? |

Depends whats meant by emanagement? Sounds like a Greddy Emanage? Might want to find out what one, blue or ultimate(black). Then you can find out what it's worth.
Also what, if any, harnesses and/or sensors come with. |

management with hondas is just silly. youve got so much to choose from that you dont really anything but a chipped ECU.
as long as that emanage isnt locked into a certain program or application, then you can probably sell it for $200 cause the blue is fairly cheap to begin with. |

| sorry its not management its emanage. Yah thats what i thought. i looked it up and the blue was made for hondas so you can adjust the vtec and what not. its abou 300 US so i think i can make 200 CND off of it. |

Actually the Emanage line is normally pretty universal, the VManage would be for the valve timing stuff.
Greddy's site will have most of this stuff. |

you can most likely get 200 for it IF it doesnt need a special code to unlock it since premade kits are usually sold to be used on specific cars.
the only problem i see with the emanage is you need to buy the harness' which are all sold separately, and the support tool is another $100, in the end, it all adds up. its still one of the better tuning programs around IMO, but when your dealing with a honda, a chipped ECU is capable of doing almost everything emanage can do.
out of curiosity, why dont you just fabricate your own turbo kit? you can do it for considerably cheaper by using junkyard parts, and probably do it for under $250 if you find everything in the junkyard. and i might be blind, but that kit from ebay doesnt even look like it comes with an intercooler |

i was waiting for someone to say that. I don't want to run crome because i am going to be pushing the limits of a d series block. To do that safely you need it tuned very well using a good stand alone. Piggybacks, from what i have read are great if your not pushing limits and being conservative.
As far as piecing on together for 250 maybe if i wanted it to blow up in the first week. Im not cheaping out on the build and i looked closer as well and that one does not include an intercooler for some reason. The one on modacar (called them) said it does but its not in the picture for some reason. Selling the emanage for the hondata and buying some dsm's 450's or some rc's.... though those are pricy.
I'm just not 100% sure yet though. There is a nice turbo for 650 on modacar that i want and i think i could piece the rest for about 1500 dollarsish. I have 3 months before i start buying. I need to save up since all my money this month is going to tuition. |

piggybacks are just a step behind stand alone for management. unless you are going for serious power, then any piggyback system should do.
ask cody or trevor the next time you see them, ive talked to them about their cheap junkyard setup, and it seems to do quite well. and check out HMT and see how often those junkyard setups dont blow up.
dsm injectors are dirt cheap, just have to clean/flow test them. |

I have. Im in their club. However, trevor was running 150-160whp with that setup. He was not pushing 200whp with a stock d series. I researched it on honda-tech, talked to quiet a few people who have turboed their stock engines and they said most go for 150-180whp and won't go higher because its not as safe. the tune starts coming into play. 190-200whp is fine but make sure you get a good tune on a dyno. No street tuning. Some have hit 220whp but this risk is substantial and rods always seem to get destroyed within a few months apparently.
On preludepower there was this debate with chrome vs hondata s300. Hondata had alot of postives over chrome even though chrome could do the basics and what is needed. however, hondata did all the extras and was hands down easier to tune. The easier to tune the more money i save on a tune, and the safer i will feel reving my d series to its limits  its more personal preferrence i guess. |

| i guess spending an extra $600 on hondata compared to chrome which is free is worth it if you save an hour on the dyno:lol: |

If your going to be pushing the limits of the stock motor dont plan on it lasting very long, good tune or not.
And emanage blue can control vtec, most just need a firmware upgrade. |

| for a honda i would go for the S300 for sure. e-manage blue is one of my last choices. |

chrome isn't free. It still costs you about 150 when all is said and done.
selling the emanage for 200 means i get the hondata for 400. The thing is i am not pushing the limits with 200whp. Its safe. 220whp is pushing the limits. 170-180whp is conservative. The worse that can happen is i blow up a 500 dollar engine. |

more like a $200 engine, its a D series, not a B series.
isnt it chrome pro which costs money and not the regular chrome?
and theres more then just chrome, youve got quite a few to choose from |

Are you getting engines at cost? Your prices are so low for everything you keep quoting. D series engines are around 400-500 B series are all around 1000ish.
Either way with chrome, its a personal preferrence with hondata. There is no convincing me to go chrome. Plus i will have the cash for it so i am not worried about that. |
