So a little up date on my car.
I was expecting it tuesday wednesday of this week so I call searail (its apparently coming up by train) and the car is still sitting there. It was supposed of been railed out last friday the 15th of February but it hadn't. No one fucken called me to tell me that its still there. They even lied to my shipping company and told them that it had railed out already. They are trying to tell me that its a non runner (car won't start because the battery is dead) and want to charge me an extra $500 even though they drove it off the truck initially. So I called them personally today which is saturday. I talked to the lot guy and he said that the car turns over no problem but it won't start. Well I thought to my self they were probably trying to start it all week and flooded the shit out of it. So the car has been in Canada since february 11 but not in my fucken garage. The shitty part is that the 45 days start counting as soon as you enter Canada so theoretically if it rails out on Monday or Wednesday, it will be another 8 to 10 days before it reaches Edmonton and then I will either pick it up from the yard or arrange transport to my house (depending on the weather) and then have to pay for my riv and wait 2 weeks before I get form 2. And then I can get my Federal inspection. So lets add up the time shall we. Entered Feb 11 and projected delivery date is now Monday March 10. Now add 2 weeks for the riv and that equals....49 days!!! FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| call RIV and explain your situation, they will always give an extension if they deem it necessary, i got an extension on my m3 because i was to lazy. Also as long as they already have your recall letter and have started then paper work, and have given you a number, they can fax you your form 2 |

They haven't started the paper work because I haven't paid the riv fee because all of the paper work I need is in the car thats in Toronto.

As far as I know they assign you your case number as soon as you submitt the paperwork for when you cross he border. When you fax in the title/export papers/bill of sale/recall letter to customs they start a case number. When it crosses the border the rail company would have had to start the processing the paper work (importing shit) and gotten form one. you donot have to wait to have form 1 or the car in your hands before you request form 2. Plus even if you wait till you have your car and paperwork in your hands, and just have form 2 faxed to you it takes 2 weeks out of your calculations |

Well here is a update.
So I call on Monday and talk to a guy named Aaron. I said "what the fuck is going on there. How come my car won't start and its not on the train. It was supposed to be here in Edmonton already." I then proceeds to tell me that he just got back from holidays and just got updated on the situation. I told him that they probably flooded the shit out of it and now it won't start. So I explained to him how to start it. I told him to check to make sure that there was fuel pressure by looking at the fpr on the side of the block. Make sure that there is at least 40psi of fuel pressure on the gauge. If there is then crank it over and it will start. He said okay and he was going out right away to start the car and will call back in 15mins.
15mins go by and he calls me. The car finally started. He said that there was huge black smoke coming out the exhaust for the first 10 sec and then it cleared up. He just kept it running and was going to put it on the train right away. I said cool and thanks.
0.5 hrs later he calls me and tells me that when he was walking up to my car he heard a poof and all of a sudden there is steam coming out from under the hood. He quickly turns off the car and pops the hood and realizes that one of the coolant hoses let go and it lost most of its coolant. So he has to flat bed it to a mechanics shop a 0.5 km down the road to get it fixed and hopefully he makes it back in time to load the train. Well he didn't make it.
Fast forward to thursday and the car is ready for shipping again. This time it makes it on the train and its on its way.
I just wish that someone had called me in the 2 weeks it sat there to ask me any specific starting instructions. I would of told them then and I would of had my car here long ago.

Everything seems fine. I opened it up on the whitemud a bit. In third gear at 80km/h I just lit up the tires and sat there. This thing is definitely fast. Right now Its sitting in my garage with the insides all torn apart. I just fixing it up to my standards and getting all of the wiring all cleaned up.

So last night I refinished the plastic interior panes, changed the interior carpet to brand new toyota carpet, and had my buddy Eric Foo come by to clean up the wiring (which was a fucking mess), install my new deck, and install my daytime running lights. I just have to finish putting together the dash and find 2 nuts for my factory seatbelt harness of which no one seems to carry. I have to wait until edmonton nut and bolt opens on Monday. Then I can reinstall the Sparco seats. It was a very productive night.
