| I get cash back on my BMO master card. Doesn't seem like much, but it knocks 50 bucks off tuition :dunno: |

I use Citibank Enrich Platinum - it gives you 1% cash back on all purchases and offers the usual perks such as extended warranty, price protection, insurance, etc....
The advantage of it is that it's not tiered, unlike many other cashback cards. |

I have HSBC Offshore Visa... It's a good card if you plan on traveling a lot. It has a bunch of perks to save you money when traveling... ie: deals on airlines, hotels, no bank fees, mutilple currency accounts, etc.
You can always schedual a meeting with someone at a your local bank to discuss what cards they offer. They are always more than happy to help (yay, more business for the bank! ...at your eventual expense :(). |

| All the cashback and airmiles and especially GM points take for ever to accumalate. So I got one with Scotiabank where you get points towards movies (whether you admit to it or not everyone goes to alot of movies). Every $1 on your visa is 1 point. 1000 points is one free movie at cineplex odeon. Needless to say I haven't paid for a movie in 9 months, and thats both me adn the wife, and at least 1 movie a month or more. Great money saver b/c movies rock. thats a good $250 a year at least saved on movies, seems pretty good to me. Thats $250 a year towards the wifes tuition. :p |

I have a bmo gold air miles card. I pay $35 a year to have the interest rate at 11% and $90 a year to have 1 air mile for every $15 spent.
I now put everything on that card and I've collected about 1500 air miles in 6 months.
Otherwise I have a td visa that is 0.5% cash back, no fees. |

GM will not be in business long enough for you to collect on the points.
GOT SER is right,
Any bank website will give you an indication on what they offer.
I have the RBC Platinum Avion Card. Annual fee of $120.00

| I thought about paying to have a lower interest rate, but I rarely keep more than a couple hundred bucks on my card so it really wouldn't help me at all. |

| I have an RBC Rewards Gold card. I think I get 1 point for every $2 spent or something along those lines. No annual fee. |

| Amex has Gold cash with tiered cashback up to 2% and no annual fee too. |

| I used to have a staff green visa at TD locked in at 5% , but never had a balance to take advantage of it, somthing about giving the bank money didnot apeal to me. With my new job I have the Gold Travel Visa from TD since I go through about 10k in company reimbursed expences a month for work alone, then with personal use, they add up quite quickly |

You really need a cashback VISA - 1500 air miles @ 1/$15 is $22,500 in spending. You can get tiered cashback VISA/MC's that will give you a much better reward than that, and it's cash in your pocket (You're not forced to use it for Airmiles items). |

i was looking at the td rebate rewards visa. up to 1% cash back with no annual fee. it had an example on the website that if i total $10,000, i will be rewarded with $85. would this be a decent card to look at getting? |

Any card is good?
Shit, the only reason you want a credit card is either to have extra credit incase you have no cash
or something that you put everything on because it has wicked rewards. |

| we have an MCAP card - we chose it because their reward point system allows you to chose one of many options including applying your points to your mortgage with MCAP to bring your principle down...just another way to pay it off faster and make extra payments! |

There are some that do straight 1% cash back (no tiers), which would give you $100 in that scenario and there are others that offer up to 2% cash back (But are tiered).
So I would advise looking towards those rather than the TD one. As well, see if you can qualify for Gold/Platinum - the benefits are worth it. |

| Right now I have a RBC classic card, and have had it about 7 months. I've played around with the spending on it, have it almost maxed out then paid off too show them I know what im doing. How long should i go before i reapply for a "better" card? I'm thinking a lower interest card with some rewards. How long before my credit is even established as a bit better than no credit? |

| Why don't you go to your bank and talk to a financial advisor about these questions, instead of asking some car guys on an internet message board :) |

CIBC Shoppers Optimum Visa
You get 10 points for every $1.00 you spend, if you use it at shoppers with their Optimum Card it doubles. About every three months I get $150 worth of free crap from shoppers. |
