I use pinnacle studio.... cheap and it works well.
Just make sure you have plenty of HD space, Memory at least 4 Gigs, a dual core PC if you want to render large files |

As said Final Cut Pro (mac only)
Adobe Premier (mac and pc)
I have not used premier but I have been told it is similar to final cut pro, and thats all we used in school.
If you don't have the funds for those programs (they are very pricey) you could use iMovie if you are a mac user. Not very pretty but it does the job. |
