One of our old steel salesman(Wide Flange Beam) had one, I can't remember what year but something in the 2000's and he loved it. I know he bought it brand new and drove it for at least 3 years. Thats all I know...

oh and the first set of tires from factory only lasted 20,000km's(junk Bridgstone, same crap on my wifes crv)

SX4 I wouldn't classify as an SUV at all, just a compact car with AWD. They are a little underpowered, but a solid small car. The Grand Vitara is a great value in the mid-size field. Lots of features for not a lot of money. It might not have as much punch down low as some of its V6 competitors (CRV, Rav 4), but it's still perfectly capable.

Suzuki make snowmobiles and bikes not car
if you want a cheap SUV buy a Jeep compass 4x4 for 18500

They use the world engine which is used alot buy dodge which means easy avaliablilty of parts

but the compass is a shitty vehicle, and the world engines are overrated. They are constantly bitched about because of their harshness.

We had a 2000 Grand Vit and we loved it. This thing was really fun, we took it out on the back roads up at Ft Mac, mountains around Hinton, beach camping in the summer and ice fishing in the winter. All the old guys on the lake looked at us funny as the got on the lake. lol Only got stuck once, I mis judged how deep the muskeg really was, sunk to the doors.

Zuki has been making these Grand Vit (rebranded Sidekick) for a long time.

And the Compass only comes in a inline 4 while all Grand Vits comes in a V6.

Suzuki may not be big for vehicles in North America, but they are one of the top-selling manufacturers in Japan. They are starting to pick up pace though. This year they are introducing a new Swift as well as a compact pickup.

I use to sell Suzukis a little while back, and new Grand Vitara is an excellent small SUV with the best bang for your buck value.
BUT IMO, the interior is kind of cheap. (lots of mediocre plastics were used)

FYI Chromey, the Honda CRV is only a 4 cylinder engine. ;)
