My brother didn't know engines need oil... He bought his first car, and 2 weeks later, threw a rod through the block... lol

closest I ever came is not tightening the oil filter enough. Good way to really clear out your engine sludge though, lol. Ever since I always triple check my filter, hahaha. Poor kid:(

haha, I ran an old D16A of mine with almost no oil for a few weeks... The thing was eating so much oil and smoking all the time. Damn expensive... I figured the best way to not burn oil was to not have any. (I wanted to blow the engine so I had an excuse for myself to replace it. The rings were REALLY bad)

Funny thing is, the engine never blew up. The lifters just got pretty noisy. It also was getting hard to start. I never revved it high when it was low on oil, tho. I just got sick of the noisy lifters and put oil back in it again.

It burns more oil than before but I will replace the motor in the summer. I thought I could kill it without oil... Now I have a wicked smoke screen mod and getting-high-on-fumes while driving mod. Good thing the car is in storage now ;p I'd be jailed in California for driving it.

hahaha, he must have mis understood. even at 16 you should know the metal on metal need lube, dont they talk about friction in junior high?

i knew this one tool that drove a lancer(not that it matters what car he drove), anyways, he told me that his manual and all manual transmissions dont need oil. i was like huh? are you fucking retarded... so he never ever changed the oil in the tranny case. i wonder if his car runs like shit yet..

he also told me that at night, like after 12am, when you come up to a red light and nobodys there, you can go and its legal.
kinda like a stop sign.

yah, some people are that stupid.

ChromeDragon
The engine must have already been at operating temp when it happened. A cold engine should keep going without any load for quite a while without any damage.

I tend to almost never believe these stories anymore. So often it seems like idiots just trying to mess with people and become internet famous.

Do you know how to take that motor apart?

Are you kidding me? He can't even change his oil without royally fucking it up.

Blackout-spec
i can take an engine apart, but putting it back together is the hard part. i think anyone can undo nuts and bolts...
haha

I saw this thread the other day, but I didn't see your name Prudz_lude, so I thought holy fuck!!

Never clicked on it.
But I dont know. I've seen some pretty stupid threads that have to be fake, One was of a couple guys trying to port n polish their motor running the engine and dumping sand into the tb, trying to sand blast the heads quote on quote

If its true, then they should be stoned to death lol

AND if is true.. I only hope they dont have kids.
