North side Husky's (156ave and Cherry Grove)... - Click HERE for Original Thread

B_IS300
They're out of regular 87 ocatane and have only the 94 octane. So they're selling the 94 at the price of the 87 octane (98.3).
So for whoever likes them high octanes for their cars, now is a chance to save some $$$$

Go now!!!!!!!

sikid111
is everybody runnin out or something??? i went to two 7/11's, first one completely out, second one only regular... :dunno:

ChromeDragon
Booyah, I'm almost out of gas. I'm on my way to fill up!

catlin987987
my tercel loves 94...
JK

but my SRT4 loves the 91 (Don't use 94 it has ethonal)

EK9Hatch
Hmm...I'm going to head there right now. I'll let everyone know if this is still on!

I got some around 7 p.m. and they had signs on all the pumps saying they were out of the lower grades so enjoy the 94 octane stuff at regular prices.

CKXtreme
Stay away from the Esso on Whyte and 109st... They too were out of regular, but they werent discounting the 91.

Bastards. I walked in and told him that its a joke to make people pay more for because of their problem, but all he did was look at me, and then walk into his back office without saying a word.

SO.... Dont go there if you dont have to.

AudiInProgress
Damn. I missed this last night.

Keep us posted, as I need gas today.

GQsmooth

I've run Husky's gas in all my cars without incident.

I hear people can be gullible bandwagon jumpers?:dunno:

I have never had a problem with it in any of my boosted cars. Some cars may perform better on it than others; it will not cause damage to your fuel system or anything though.

I ran husky's gas all the time for my summer car(94 octane). Just curious because I've had quite a few ppl telling me that it's bad for your car...I.E, wears out your injectors quicker.

The gas is always cheaper there, so it leads me to believe it is "watered down".

I filled up 2 nights ago. Looks like I missed the boat on this one.

I have just started using the 94 w/ethonal on my boosted ride and so far i've got good results. It seems to start better in this bitter cold and the pamphlet it came with shows the benefits on the engine and environment. Not too sure if i've heard any bad things about Husky but im interested to hear the downsides :dunno: .

On a side note there are 3 Husky's that now carry 96 in Edmonton, which is the highest i've seen so far.

That is ridiculous, and no it isn't usually any cheaper. Not significantly so anyhow. It does not cause any extra wear, almost all manufacturers use ethanol blends, Husky/Mohawk just happen to offer the highest octane blend out there.

My car loves the Husky 94. I tried Shell 91 and my car didn't like it much.

19820 - 62ave.
15303 - 73a St.
818 - 91 St.
10960 - 142 St.

all have the 94E performance pumps and the guy inside said that 96E will be in place within the next couple of months. this was a while ago on 818 - 91 St. so they may or may not have it now. knowing edmonton it will probably be another year.

I had the opposite results. My car ran like crap at high boost with Husky 94. I gave it a try for 2 tanks this summer, and went right back to Shell 91.

Ah I see, you said that it was now available. But would I be right in saying that this a rumor from the gas jockey?

i'll check in about a week or so when my tank is out, but they had a chart in the store with all the locations and their highest octane available. when i looked at the chart it showed them carrying 96E at the new grocery style locations they are building. Jockey said that location was getting it in for sure. not sure if its just a myth or fact as i've been running with safeway 91 for the last couple tanks.

catlin987987
I am getting a custom tune on the SRT and hope to up some of my timing. I always hated ethonal but I will try it on the dyno with 94E then on 96 octane(when it comes out)

tibbymat
thats crazy.... the same thing is goin on at the esso on 97street and whyte ave. no regular!!

GOT BOOST
too soon to call, but is this perhaps the elimination of regular fuel? Once supplies have run out due to non production, then consumers will be forced to purchase mid grade and premium at much higher price than what we pay now?

I hope this his not the case. It is unusual to have so many stations across the city run out of regular, especially around the same period of time.
